ive read a few bibles in my day, but i will be the first to say that im not an expert. i have also read the Bhagavad Gita and some of the Mahabarata.
i think it give me a solid background to what the main ideas in the bible and christianity are.

now let me ask you somehting fine sir, have you read anything other than the bible? like a biology book? or a highschool science book?

your main argument here is that the living will come back to life which you get from scripture, and to prove it you quote another part of scripture. do you see how that doesn't make sense?

It makes sense if you have faith and you can only have faith by knowledge. Are you going to talk about evolution. If we came from apes. Why are there still apes, shouldn't they have evolved already and carbon dating is not even close to being accurate.

those are two very interesting questions. i remember having the same exact questions when i was learning about evolution. i congradulate you on thinking on your own and asking questions that honestly intrigue you.

first of all let me say that those questions are so important, you should not get a full answer from here. people here will point you in the right direction but if you honestly want to learn the answer to those questions you will have to do some research on your own, but trust me that is the fun part !

another point i would like to make is that many people can learn new concepts like evolution and find a way to still have faith. it doesnt mean you have to choose one or the other.

now to answer your questions:

1) humans are part of the Hominoidea family tree, thats where the word homonid comes from. it doesnt mean we evolved directly from the apes you see today. the apes you see today and humans share a similar ancestor. the concept is like a tree with many branches, rather than one straight line where one ape evolves to another untill we get humans. that is a widely held misconception. the way we came up with this theory is by classifying apes into diffrent sub groups and studying their origins and their DNA. today we have a very detailed map of the hominoid family tree and we can see which apes are our closest ancestors. so it makes perfect sense that humans and other apes are living side by side today.

2) carbon dating is very accurate, but not the only way we can date very old things like fossils. to have solid proof, scietists use carbon dating in combination with other dating methods. when two seperate methods come up with the same conclusion, to science, that is sound proof. remember there are other diffrent types of dating methods like argon dating, fission track dating, and some others, obviously im not an expert. also, diffrent dating methods are better for diffrent circumstances. look at the way they measure the age of the polar ice caps, they get long cilinders of ice and analyze the ice layers and trapped gasses.

 

as well as bible software and bible apps that have all the translations in one place plus commentary. i have some religious family and they have apps like that.

 

on carbon dating, i have been told that carbon dating must be flawed. but it is not, of course with any measurement there will be an acceptable error rate but not by a factor of 1,000,000 or more! the dates obtained with carbon-14 dating AGREE WITH geology, the fossil record, and astronomy. so several independent calculations using different methods.

the speed of light is known to be a constant, one could argue that the speed of light must have been faster in the past and is slowing down (so that light from distant galaxies could have reached us in less that 6,000 years) ... but if work out a value for c (the speed of light) that will work for a young earth and plug c into some equations then gravity would not work in such a way that would yield a universe that looks the way it does.
