Some would say that change (to fit the modern world) is a bad thing. The Catholic Church says it is theologically impossible to ordain women, yet most of the pressure comes from outside of the Church to do so. The majority of people within the church understand this. On a metaphysical level, men and women are different. Equal in the eyes and love of God, but different. Also, the Church has changed some things. some theologies for example (note the lower case "t") can change. For a while, Augustinian views of Original Sin (that sex transfers it to the children) held steadfast in the Church. Now the Church says something different about how Original Sin is passed to new generations. Also, at times in history, laity thought that no one was lovable enough to be loved by god and so we are all going to Hell. then someone had a vision of Jesus with his burning heart (now known as the Sacred Heart). This devotion came in and set some people on the right track again. Change is possible, not not always necessary.
Folks, this is what the Catholic cult does all through history. When the bible doesn't say what they want, they just change the interpretation. Very tidy. Folks won't come to confessional? Lets just twist the Bible around and completely defy the intention of confession in order to maintain that money flow. "Before man" now means 'A man" huh? Pretty slick. If you follow the Catholic cult, you're gonna have trouble making it through. Not saying you can't, but you'll have to be a maverick. AND YOU'LL NEED MORE THAN A MISSAL... -
So do you confess "before man"? So an exciting move in the right direction is a move to a mixture of religions that are mutually exclusive? Can you explain how the confessional makes the church money? i won't have any problem. I'll have the prayers of my family, the intercessions of Our Lady, and the Blessed Sacrament to help me out.
Yes sir. I said a month ago, I'll reiterate. This is documented outside my iteration here. I'm going to stop calling them it a cult now. I've made my point and there's no need to continue, because that would put it in the realm of disrespectful. The Catholic leaders were faced with a big problem during the Roman rule. They were getting peasants, but peasants have no money. The rich folks refused to attend the church specifically because it says in the Bible that one must "confess your sins before man." Furthermore, that verse isn't even the definitive verse about confession. As the proper verses are from Luke and read "Whosoever shall confess me before men." And that would be a pretty clear PLURAL. Right outa Jesus mouth. Now, in the context that it is put in the bible, the word man, according to the Strong's concordance and it's lexicon, means man as a whole. Not an individual man. Furthermore if one reads the actual text. It's obvious that Jesus was telling us to let everybody know. Not to hide it. Even the Angels should hear you. This is how we shed our sinners heart. But the Catholics (in the Roman days) just up and decided that it really means 'A MAN." This allowed them to open up (or close off) the confessional to a private session. This is actually 180 degrees out of what it's trying to tell us in the Bible. BUT, this allowed the Catholics to solicit the rich folks. And it worked, Catholicism has flourished with the influx of much money. Unfortunately, this whole thing wasn't set up as a way to get more people into the seats. You don't twist the Bible to do that. It was about the money. FWIW - I am going to state for fact that all original copies of the original Catholic translations [hand copied by monks in the early Church] are kept in the Churches and no one else has claim to them and no one can touch them. There's more........ -
