Well anyone can believe what they want of course, but my theory is just that this world and universe is far to complex w/o some creator.

 

Lack of understanding on how the universe works =/= god. Once you understand physics, cosmology, biology, you will realize that things in this universe aren't as complex as they seem. We know how stars are formed, we know how planets are formed, we know gravity exists. You have plenty of time to learn this stuff and obviously we're not going to do your home work for you. Use the links, google "the big bang", "cosmology", " "evolution". You can get a basic understanding within a day or two if not sooner. Or.... you can not care about how things work and live with the easy answer.... "god did it" and continue on through life without a clue.

I refuse to waste my time reading about air pressure and shit causing the world to form over a big BOOM. It just makes me laugh. So what happens when you die? Do people with near-death expiriences lie? Id research some of them. And dont give me that DMT shit, because theres no way anyone can hullicinate almost the exact same expirience. I suggest you do your homework on people whos ACTUALLY died before and has been there, because that IS the age old question, what happens when you die.

Since I can't comment on the crap you posted within the quote because your too lazy to actually debate, I'll over look it. You have not refuted ANYTHING I've said in the prayer thread. Not once did you offer credible evidence that prayers work, not once did you explain how prayers from one religion are any different than prayers from another.

Maybe my problem is that I assumed that anything posted in a christian forum or an atheist forum is up for debate. If I'm wrong, or if there are rules that say I can't debate in a Christian thread, then please point the way to that particular rule and I will apologize. Otherwise deal with it. instead of just snubbing your nose and bashing the debater, an ad hominem logical fallacy, add to the debate or remain silent if you don't have an arguement. Bashing only makes you look silly and uneducated with a fear of thinking you've been believing blindly.

Again, you make the assumption that I know everything there is to know about the universe. I never made that claim. I said I had a BASIC understand. Do you know what the word BASIC means? You seem to have a comprehension problem. I never said I read ALL of your posts. I can barely get past the ones you make to me, but the ones I did stumble upon are mere ramblings. Have you even tried to debate around here? Are you capable of using the quote functions to debate, point by point, instead of typing within a quote so someone can't quote you back?

Sure there are near-death experiences, but there have reported documents of people remembering their past lives too, something that Christianity doesn't hold to be true. I think Einstein put it the best when he said "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
