I didn't get to go on that ride. I only went to the sling shot ride and the flying eagle. I wanted to go to the haunted ride but didn't get too. Wonder Wheel scared you?
@Total Darkness, not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but: I am contemplating a trip to south America, somewhere. Any recommendations? Somewhere reasonably safe for a female traveler who isn't dumb. I love anything related to nature, beaches, or urban exploration.
Its the correct place to ask. I just don't think i'm the correct person to ask. As far as safety. I think any Latin American country is likely to be unsafer than America. Shouldn't automatically stop you from going, just something to keep in mind. You should be fine overall especially if you have friends with you. I would avoid Venezuela. Not sure about Columbia. Recommendations. I know you said South America but Costa Rica is really nice with many hiking trails, beautiful beaches, volcanoes, cloud forest, rainforest. Brazil is beautiful. You could stay at the same places i've stood at. Where i stood in Rio, it was in a safe area and only a block away from the beach. And Rio De Janeiro is a city i would definitely recommend. Where i stood in the Amazon Rainforest is really nice. Peru seems like an interesting place to explore as well. I was looking into that before but never been there myself to know personally. If you need to know the places i've stood at just message me.
Sadly enough after just visiting the Amazon i'm hearing that its burning. Who's to say what would be left of the rainforest in a few years from now or even just a year. Something that's been upsetting me as of late.
As an infant I spent 7 months in Kerala (India) where we used to get King Cobras - some 8 -10 feet long.
I thought about this as I was looking through this thread when I first heard the Amazon was burning. I imagine it would be pretty upsetting to visit such an amazing piece of the planet and then find out it was on fire after your visit
Definitely upsetting. One of the reasons why i have a sense of urgency to explore certain parts of the world. Especially the African wildlife in which many animals are being killed just to make a profit off of their body parts. Elephants killed just for their tusk. Rhinos killed just for their horns, etc.
The singularity is collapsing, which will start to become undeniable next year, when everyone's heads start to spin at the nonstop revelations that emerge into the public consciousness. Secrets that have been closely guarded for half a century are already coming out and inspiring the race for AI and quantum computing. Everybody's been holding back on everybody else, but its becoming impossible to keep it up any longer and they are conducting the new Manhattan Project, which should bear fruit any day now. Mother Earth takes care of her own, but humanity must pay the price for its hubris, and everybody will be less than thrilled with what they learn. Mother Nature will teach us all, that the truth hurts for a reason. Don't do that!
Come to think of it, maybe Ecuador and Argentine are interesting places to explore in South America. Haven't looked into it though. Just a thought.
I have one of you too. Hanging out at the beach, looking right at me. Oh and i'm not spying on you guys.
