So use the study for legit purposes. Making millions eat cloned meat is no study, unless it's a study on its effects on us.
By a researchers own words (I forget her name), it's to isolate the tastiest beef and reproduce that cow by referring back to a sample taken and 'cloning it'(freeze genetics). There is no benefit to output, so anything about this helping feed the starving or our future booming population is bullshit.

The word clone, IMO, is a bit of a misnomer, and it's certainly not for the good of increasing food supply (which we do not and will not need). It's not like we're dropping a cow into a machine and it's pumping out 4 clones.
    It's simply freezing genetic change.
Not all scientists are about going the scientific route. (theory or project, then try to shoot holes in it). There are already undeniable factors that could shed a negative light on doing this, years down the road. Deeming it safe so soon and with a few flags thrown up, is hardly a scientific measure, to me.

They can't do this reliably on sheep, or chicken, which alone should be cause for concern about how much science really knows about the method to be doing this. A cow seems to be the one animal they can get a decent rate of success with cows, and the meat is "safe" to eat, or at least you won't die in the immediate future for having had eaten cloned meat.
We're loaded with examples of "safe" practices and alterations that turn out just the opposite, or found later to produce a less healthy nutritional sample (see organics).
This science is very, very shortsighted.

There is NO requirement to mark the meat as cloned. That takes away even the option of the public making their own choice. Is this due to the FDA/science world thinking the public are half-educated idiots and will therefore shun the product of cloning? All too often, it's food and agricultural science that has done the public wrong. We've got food that's less nutritious and unproven to be healthy in the long term. We've got plenty out that that may lead to some cancer or god knows what, because it takes a long time to really know the effects of tampering with the natural process on the human body. Cigarettes would be deemed safe for people if scientists had nothing but a few years to study them.
Sadly science is not so advanced that we can throw something under a microscope and have them give a thumbs up or thumbs down, and live by it.
Theoretically, a cloned cow should have the same effect on us as the cow before it. But there's no telling these cows' are going to remain perfect throughout the years of reproductions.

More issues with "cloning" beef is a single-strain-DNA meat farm will have it so if one cow is succeptible to getting or worse yet carrying disease or defect, they all are.

Ethically and scientifically, this is simply a bullsh!t maneuver that does not do what the FDA does, look out for consumers. Maybe, still, the FDA aren't the fucktards here. Maybe the FDA has no obvious GROUND to stop production of cloned meat, so they have to concede in advance, which I still don't care for.
Pass laws to make sure there are aren't too many insects in my food, and leave it at that, dammit.
