I got rid of mine because I'm an admitted conspiracy theorist and I read all that crap about them giving your stuff to the government and eff that, man. Eeeefffff that. And I hate the fact that I couldn't customize my profile to look all prettiful. And I only had it for one friend who refused to get a MySpace to keep in contact with me and I was finally like, "Whatever, I'm sick of being the one who has to make a new profile all the time to talk to people, if they want to talk to me bad enough, they'll get a MySpace." Yeah, I'm just insanely loyal to MySpace, I've been on there since before it was popular, lol.
I don't like facebook because they opened it to the highschoolers and it's completely different from when I first became a user. So many apps and ads now, everything looks so cluttered.
Facebooks really cool. But just like real relationships, I float in and out of it. Pretty soon I'll add a bunch of new pictures and stories about my life to entertain my friends. For right now the old school thinks I've dropped off the face of the earth. And I personally like it like that, because I'm real commitment phobic. But that's nothing wrong with facebook, which I think rules.
1) I go on about once a week, if that, sometimes I don't use it for months 2) I know how to use the privacy settings 3) I know how to ignore the 40 or so requests I get a week to become friends with people I didn't like at school, or to install moronic apps like "Superpoke" 4) I don't have as many friends as little miss social butterfly here, but I have enough I still dislike the concept and the fact that some people would rather contact me through it rather than email, call or text me.
not true. you can say NO ONE can see your stuff except for a select list of people. you can add whomever you want to that list, and they are the only people who can see your stuff. like I said, some people don't know how to use the privacy settings and then bitch about it instead of taking the time to figure it out
#4 was a joke, don't patronize me. just saying, I have reunited with some amazing people I never would have been able to contact without it. Yes some shit about it is annoying, but I still like it.
I have a myspace for my music used to have a normal one but deleted it. I don't like it because it's not very searchable. facebook is much better as far as how it's organized.
If a song is playing, I let it play through until I'm done with the page. Usually, it's something I like and put it on my playlist.
#4 was a joke here as well, don't get your knickers in a knot I've hooked up with some amazing 'ex-friends' through FB as well. In a way it has really contributed a lot to my life but it still sucks ass.
Facebook: * The Apps suck * Chat Sucks * The Theme sucks * 90% of your friends arent your friends * at least half the people you talk with on there you wouldnt bother with in real life * Who gives a fuck what some twit that you didnt even like in highschool is having for dinner tonight * Everyone's joined up to whole bunch of groups no one uses * Every new significcant other you are going to get the Facebook Inquest - who's this chick?, who's that guy? Shouldnt your profile say you are in a relaytionship with me? I hate that friggin site
