i love living at home. ive lived with so's and by myself and i like living at home better then both of those experiences and my mom and i enjoy each others company
you see those foreign families from the outside, live in their shoes and see if its so great, their's tons of responsibilities and lots of hard work that you would have to make up for in case some other member of your family was, Sick, Tired, or just plain lazy, living under the same roof causes so many damn problems and unless your completly void of emotion or a saint, problems will be constant. your view will change trust me, family life is essential up to so long...although without it there isnt much stopping you from becoming your own person, create your own family with someone else
Exactly.....Don't romanticize someone else's life unless you know what really goes on. I have a friend from one of those "foreign families" who owned a Chinese restaurant. Very traditional....it was more like an ownership than a family. The mother was forced to work even when sick or very pregnant. The sons were supposed to marry mail-order brides from China, picked by the father. Only the oldest did that, and they are divorced now. It wasn't a "happy, happy, let's-all-work-and-love-together" thing.
Well i dont know what kinda family that is but i know MY family an d know they would do good by my as i would do good by them. I wouldnt over work someone that didnt need to be over worked, the same they would do for me. When you work together in a strong family you know you can trust them and they will be there for you. Other people who you might work with elses where dont care about you most of the time .and why should they? Last of all can you really base all those foreign families on one group that didnt work out?
Good, then go for it. Your original post was wondering why a lot of people frown upon living with your family forever. People keep telling you...DO WHAT YOU WANT. So why are you still argueing? I've never met anyone who NEEDED to be over-worked. Do you even know what that means? So you want your family to get a restaurant? I didn't. Show me where I said that all foreign families were like that. What I said was not to romanticize someone else's life when you don't really know what it's like........because YOU were implying that all foreign families had such great situations.
