A simplified model. For someone about 150 lbs, running consumes about 1100 calories per hour. A pound of body fat is equivalent to about 3600 calories. To lose a pound would require about 3.3 hours of continuous running. 14 lbs would require 45.8 hours of running.

Jogging is about 400 calories per hour. Casual walking is about 200 calories per hour. The intensity of the activity has a large effect on the rate of calories burned.

Calories burned depends on your body weight. Someone who is more massive will require more work to move the body and will use more calories for the same activity compared with a slim person.

    See this site:

I can quite imagine what you are doing when you are saying that :D

There are 3 supermarkets in walking distance of me.
    And several halal butchers too.
I know where I'd prefer to shop.

    No No No

Yes Yes Yes (I know where I'd like to shop too...there are all kinds of markets and farmers markets and stuff near me...plenty of decent stuff to chose from for cheap... dunno why I'd have to get produce at sprawlmart)

Parents? Well, I am an only child and am close to my parents.. even though they annoy the shit out of me.

Denim? C'mon now, really? I don't wear that much denim. OK, so maybe that picture wasn't such a good look. SO WHAT?

Colored women? To be fair, I like all women. I do like darker skinned women, and I do think black women are beautiful, but I like any exotic-looking women, whether they're from Brazil, Jamaica, India, or Jamaica. I also love intellectual, socially awkward white women with impeccable tastes in music who host radio programs on college radio.

I love pussy. Period. I am just not a player, so I don't get it as often as I would like.

EDIT: I misspelled denim as demin twice. I must be becoming dyslexic.

    Thanks.

I posted my details earlier. And a Pic'.
I want to lose it in a few weeks.
I don't fancy doing anything for 45.8 hours, though.
I do have one of those step machines I 'walk' on from time to time.

It's great if you have choice.

It just wouldn't bother me to buy meat from a supermarket.

That's if I actually eat meat

Swimming's my thing. That, and when I do go to a gym, the elliptical... and I like just walking and hiking... I have arthritis in my knees pretty bad and running (and some yoga also with a lot of squats and stuff) is horrible on my knees. Also, I have some inner ear probs that running makes worse. But give me a pool and I'll swim laps all day.

How much did you lose, in total?

The only people I know who have actually lose a significant amount of weight and kept it off are the people who completely changed their lifestyle. The ones who 'diet' just end up putting it back on later because they eventually go back to eating garbage, or just don't actually exercise.

Losing weight and getting into decent shape is simple, and everyone knows how to do it, they're all just looking for an easy solution. Daily exercise, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, limit dairy and breads, eat turkey and/or fish and limit your red meat consumption.

Because people are taught that running is the ultimate form of cardio and fat burning. What they are not taught is that there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. You're right in that they should start with walking, even a brisk walk. Hell, I think pool exercises are an even better idea. People that overweight tend to hurt themselves when they start running.

At my heaviest, I was like 265. This was in Summer, 2009.

Before I began my lifestyle change, in March, 2012, I was around 230. By August of that same year, I was down to 165, and by October, I was down to 155. I now hover somewhere around 165-170. The weight I have gained is muscle.

But yeah, a lifestyle change is the only way to go. There are no such things as "diets," IMO. I really hate that word.
