Paul McCartney for sure! but What! No Roger Waters 0.o thats crazy, hes a great bass player and i havent seen him in here yet!
you won't be dissapointed. my advice: flecktones tour bus will be parked somewhere nearby, wait after the show by it or they sometimes stay in the theatres afterwards and sign shit and meet people
man i am not a fan at all of metallica, but i like this dude's bass solos a lot. my buddy has the cliff em all video and it has some cool ones
Paul McCartney (Beatles) Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) Scott Reeder (Kyuss) Cliff Burton (Metallica) Al Cisneros (Sleep, Om) Justin Chancellor (Tool)
My reply: Ok, I dropped in to read this thread and seem to have gotten lost in it. What's the name of the bassist you're referring to here?
Guerillabedlam's Top 10 Favorite Bassists: Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) Justin Chancellor (Tool) Les Claypool (Primus) Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) Colin Greenwood (Radiohead) Mike Kerr (Royal Blood) Tim Commerford (Rage Against the Machine) Bootsy Collins (Parliament-Funkadelic) Geddy Lee (Rush)
If I have to pick between Les Claypool of Primus or Flea of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, I'd pick Flea. Beyond them, I really have no idea who plays bass for whom; unless you count Nirvana... Chris Novoselic (or however you spell it) but he isn't my favorite.
Heh I know what you mean but it’s funny reading Paul McCartney as so underrated... heh yah he never gets any praise (extreme eye roll emoji not found)
Oh yes, I'll have a go. In no particular order..... Carol Kay Phil Lesh Jack Casady John Paul Jones All are old skool but so totally right. They all have a unique tone and melodic style, without being showoffs. And if anyone is not familiar with Casady, check this track out:
