I guess Rush was my favorite concert. They played awessssooomeee.. I've always had the most fun at Tom Petty concerts, though.
Rush are incredible, you're so lucky but yeah, for fun my favourite concert has Korn at Download. I was wrecked, more or less naked, wrapped in my countries flag with a henna tattoo across my chest (the tattoo itself was the words '[Persons name] is a wanker!' Either way, between poppers, beer and getting my head kicked in, Korn played a greatest hits set and the crowd was just brutal. People climbed to the top of the tent and were jumping back down, and crowd surfers were just everywhere. What a brilliant, sunny, and very funny day.
Jonathan Davis didnt turn up because he was "feeling sick" ...that also gave Alice in Chains another while on stage though so not all bad.
Haha, that was the year before on the main stage, i'm on about the tent show the following year I didn't see them the first time, they were on the same time as Opeth that year.
look, i'm a skinny girl and i have NEVER had any problems at any concerts i've been too (granted i've never been to any damn death metal shows but i never plan on it), and i've pretty much always been up front but once damn circa came on people just went unnecessarily psychotic. idk i'm probably just a pansy but all the guys we made friends with got their asses out of there too. being sandwiched between two large disgusting fat men is not my cup of tea. once we moved back a little further though we had a pretty good time
FUCK. i wrote the longest reply and it got erased here goes i don't know if you guys know silversun pickups, but i didn't expect there to be mosh pitting at there show. i didn't picture it like that. so i took some acid and went to the front with my girlfriend. when the moshing started i had my eyes closed watchign CEVs and absorbing the music. then i get bumped into and see what's going on. i was suprised they were even doing that to this music. i didn't want any part of it, but i also wanted my great spot so close to the stage. i was just defending myself and my tiny girlfriend, and i was just shoving people away (i guess that's how you do it) but FUCK, i came to the show to enjoy the music, not smash up against a bunch of sweaty dudes. i was getting pissed. i kinda lost my cool and punched a couple dudes, but i probably hit like a wounded infant and they didn't seem to mind. since the crowd was crushing my girlfriend and killing my acid trip, we moved back and had a great time
shpongle has blown my mind each time i've seen them, but they're not really a "band". Cake has always been AMAZING live. MGMT was really good, but they had a short set at a festival i was at. the rolling stones were a great show, but not my favorite music by any means. it's a shame most of my favorite "bands" no longer make music. STILL can't FUCKING WAIT to see the glitch mob
I'd love to see Cake. My best concerts were Pink Floyd and The Who. ACDC in '86 or so was sooooooooooooo cool.
only been to a few...not huge fans of the bands I've seen but went because friends were going. Going to see the black keys in august...that will be the best concert.
wouldn't think circa is a moshing band either... not at all, and especially since i don't really like them all too much getting my ribs broken and feet smashed up from reallllly wasn't too appealing :/ anthony green is fantastic to watch though, but that's about the only thing circa has going for them. the music sounds like complete shit.
ooh cake is another one i want to see. i missed them when they came to my city last year. this thread made me recall just how great the 311 show was, that i think i'm gonna buy tickets for the show in holmdel NJ, july 10th. $100 for 2 seats or about $60 for lawn. i think i'll go with seats, but i'll sleep on it. gotta get to bed
I wanna see Canned Heat in concert one day.. That probably wont ever happen. Besides who would want to see them without Alan Wilson and especially Bob Hite. That guy was a kick ass vocalist..
I fail to see peculiarity in the previous post. OK puff tough just makes me laugh and think of some silly kid I met selling stickers after tribe one year.
^^^i didn't mean it in a bad way. when i read that post, it just sounded more animated with funky words - when normally your voice in my head sounds more "normal" maybe i was baked and it just made me chuckle. as i'm also baked right now, it will probably do the same thing
That's what they opened the show with and there were five or so giant spinning mosh pits throughout the audience. I didn't join in though because I wasn't drunk.. Later on I got stoopid during priest's set though.
Yeah, yeah, I know but it was actually pretty damn good! Seriously, the set up for it was spot on I mean, another gig I would say was one of my favourites was a Spunge show, and they are crappy punk pop. But alas, on fun value, it was crazy good. Not ALWAYS about the music, sometimes about the atmosphere as well Though I am actually an old school Korn fan, one of the first metal bands I listened to, when I was like 13-14, so we are talking when Follow the Leader Came out. First song I heard was Got The Life, as it was released- that stuff is still good
