Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues is my favorite Hippy. Just watch him perform "Melancholy Man" with the Moodies on YouTube (easy to find) and you will see why he is the 'coolest' hippy ever!

John Lennon and Yoko Ono in their naked sit-in. I remeber following the news about them daily. It helped ease the daily blast of the Viet Nam War.
    Clockwork Orange. Hair
    Santana
Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, ZZ Top & my love; Elvis Presley.
Chicago 7 during the Dem. Convention, grass root organizations. LOVE

Picking a "favorite hippy" is like picking a favorite parent. Hippy, to me, isn't about one person. It's community. No one person is idiolized. Everyone is equal.

One that stands out for me would be "Meathead" in All in the Family. The way he clashes with Archie Bunker really makes the show.

just for the record, it was Chicago Eight until Bobby Seale was put on a separate trial.

had the honor of meeting Ron Kovic during the 08 Democratic convention. This after being an extra in his film.

    Pie Man was around, too.

Met Wavy on a few occasions.
