Jimi Hendrix- Electric Ladyland. Absolutely incredible. I laid in the dark on a bed with 5.1 speakers, and it felt like i was wrapped in a silk cocoon, being twisted and gyrated (in a good way...not freaky at all) in sync with the music. Another GREAT band is Sigor Ros. You get soooo fucking into it and feel exactly what the vocalist is feeling.
TRy listening to technical death metal and deathcore, such as Decapitated, Bring Me The Horizon (the first album), Deicide, Emmure, anything like that is good. Also I find dubstep intersting on DXM. Bar 9, Calvertron, Skream, Excision, Datsik, Downlink are all good choices. Finally, Drum n Bass and Neurofunk, such as Noisia, Telemetrik and Spor are out of this world. And if you want a very good trip I would suggest listening to Azax Syndrome Vs Bliss-Round II, amazing psychedelic trance with dubstep touches. I also found Black Sabbath´s album Paranoid and Pantera´s album Cowboys From Hell very nostalgic-interesting. Planet Caravan is a must.
Techno always makes my trips bad. I prefer more relaxed but upbeat music. "Low" by Cracker: Amazing song to listen to, especially when you're well on your way towards the peak of the trip. Day or night. Some Doors songs: "Not to touch the earth" - great for the night. "Wishful Sinful" - great for the day. All the songs on Tool's album Lateralus: better for a nighttime trip. I like listening to Boards of Canada too. Listening to the song "Dayvan Cowboy" while reading up on something (best for doses under 500mg, maybe less depending on your tolerance, lol) adds a sense of blissful wonder to it. Honestly, any music is good for the most part. There aren't many bad choices, except for depressing music. I find DXM amplifies the mood of the music. I normally like Sigur Ros; they're a great band. But the bittersweetness of their music is super depressing to listen to while on DXM.
Well all the Deep Ambient stuff like soundscapes and dreamy stuff works best. I recommend that try Robert Rich, Lustmord and Brian Eno for a change. Hope it does not get too deep to handle !!!:2thumbsup:
If you like techno/trance music check out this DXM song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRBf3qNSYFM :afro::2thumbsup::sunny:
