DwtD had me bugged out the first time I listened to it. Immortal Tech is crazy. He's a lot more--I don't want to say moderate--...'even', I guess?, than his songs let on. The Poverty of Philosophy was pretty cool, kind of explained his point of view.
When the FUCK did I say Kanye is better than Dre? You are smokin some bad crack, SON. I really don't think that Pac or Biggie were that good, honestly. There are better MCs alive now doin bigger and better things. All that Biggie did, really, was leave a void in the east coast main stream that still hasn't really been filled but with shit rappers. As far as Nas? He's good, but he isn't the best. His lyricism can't be touched but he really doesn't have shit that pops. It's not something I'd bang in my car or anything either. And you saying Talib Kweli is "new rap" is laughable. Are you aware of the Soulquarians? You claim I don't know my shit, too - which is hilarious. Beats? You wanna say a GOOD beat costs money? You, sir, really are crazy. Take a look at my sig and then tell me what a good beat is. Hell go look up Black Milk. Eminem sucks dick, seriously. I'm tired of bobbing my head when people say he's a good lyricist. Yeah, he was, in the first 5 songs about his shitty life. For real, he needs to stop bitching. Some of the most rough and tumble MCs rap about good times and shit - diversity is what makes a good MC last (Talib Kweli and Common for you) The only thing I can agree on with you is that Wu-Tang is seriously, undeniably, the most awesome group ever, and RZA is to be accountable for that, largely. I named my left nut Hip and my right nut Hop, you don't know anyone more serious (Oh and you said The Game is a good MC? Wow...I'm sorry I even typed this shit now, seriously. MF Doom is whack and The Game is good now? I'm surprised you aren't sucking the radio teet that is Lil Wayne, too) Immortal Technique is good - but he's tired as hell. I can't listen to his shit anymore
I don't think I could pick one rap song as my fav.... prolly something by Del or Bone thugs though. I go through phases of which rap I like listening to. If you woulda asked me a year ago I might have said soemthin by SPM or Nickatina
And? What race do you suggest I be in order to appreciate hiphop even more than I do? That's right, sit down. Weedwhacker, Twang. Here's one you guys would appreciate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23OkXjK4h8M Mac Lethal isn't that great, but this song is really chill and I like it. And he's from KC The Buzz features his label every Sunday night, or so I've heard Hey Captain Cannabis, close your ears, but he's WHITE OMFG, right?
Thats how I used to be. And honestly I can't stand most rap, but there is actually some good stuff out there. Try looking up some shit that DJ's mix. (RJD2, DJ Shadow, Soulwax have all mixed some great rap songs)
Or Sage Francis and Atmosphere. The fact that they are white may lessen your strange fear of having a smaller penis than a black dude. Seriously, why do you even bring race into hiphop? it has no place
Duh, Aryan. The only race that is worthy of walking on this planet. And don't push your luck there pencil arms. :hat:
Seriously though, I don't understand why you even bring stuff like that into the discussion, because it sounds like you've got a problem with race - that's a different topic though and if you really would like to take that route you can PM me.
I didn't bring it into discussion.... You asked me what race I think you should be to appreciate that music and I gave you my answer.
haha Slug is damn good, but he is super depressing. CC: You brought it in when you commented on something being the whitest thing that's ever been said, as if there is a certain race you need to be to appreciate hiphop. just drop it, please. I don't think you could even handle that discussion, joking aside.
Well if it makes you feel any better I didn't even care about the thing that made me say "that was the whitest thing I've ever heard". I just like to quote you and make smart remarks at your flaws. It raises my post count. We can be a team.:cheers2:
Anyone who doesn't associate black people with hip hop is being way too politically correct, that'd be like not associating black people with old blues music, or white guys with classical music.
