I don't have a favorite stuffed animal from my youth. I never got into sleeping with toys (though I do cuddle a pillow every once in a while when I feel lonely or depressed, or missing somebody). I do have a few cute ones I've collected over the years (mostly gifts). There's this one I got at cracker barrell that is like the spitting image of my cat Fessor (except it has blue eyes, whereas fessor has green). I like Fessor better though.
2 ft long, white Seal. Soft, but had some beans in him. Nameless, because he wasn't a stuffed animal, he was a weapon. I had to have him when I slept after seeing a big commercial for all those old horror movies like Chuckie and the Invisible Man. I had to defend myself and a Seal full of beans would hurt, I'll have you know. I also kept my nightlight solely because the invisible man would cast a shadow, and I could get the jump on him. I was a paranoid child....
i still sleep with my bear, i got it from my best friend in highschool for my 16th birthday. i love it! i named it Crispy Chicken. cause my other friend was like..its fur looks like kentucky fried chicken.. back when it used to be really crispy..
For many years it's been my german sheppard stuffed toy. A while back I had a toy possum. His name was RoadKill
I'm not too attached to any of my old stuffed toys. However, when I was little, I had a doll and a "blankie" that I carried with me everyday and slept with and it was a disaster if I ever forgot them. I still have those at my parents' house somewhere.
i think all plushies are kind of sacred. my favorite are the most realistic, least cartoonie looking ones, though realisticly alien looking creatures with totally cool markings are probably the best. i don't think of them as 'toys' but not as too sacred to touch either. there fun to have around. i don't mean that spirits reside IN them, but they can be reminders that little invisible friendly critter type spirits are, and to set out water for them and keep them happy and welcome in your home. =^^= .../\...
I have 3 ones I still feel really close too... There is Mr Eddie Bear that my dad gave me as a kid. Peter T. Monster who is just a chill fellow, and Buttons the Intergalactic Sleep Dog who my friend gave me to cuddle with when I was in Montreal this summer and then he proceeded to hitch all over canada with me...cause I'm just really grown up and cool that way. He's cool though, he travels all over the galaxy through space and time, but then falls asleep and ends up on other planets, thats how my friend ended up with him.
http://www.thisoldtoy.com/L_FP_Set/toy-pages/8000-plus/8015-pig.html is it like this? i have a stuffed animal still that was purchased for me before i was born and was always my favorite when i was little. Spike Kitty. spike has been handled roughly over the years as he was my favorite, so his formerly very suft fur is a lot different now. he was a white kitten filled with beanbags, but a lot more full of them and this more rigid than a beanie baby...he predated those little monsters. then i also had another one i liked a lot when i was little....a purple stegosaurus which i got when i was like three. i named him dinosaury. i dont know why, except that he was a dinosaur. last there was a stuffed bison i got as a toddler. i couldn't say "buffalo" and consequently it became known as my "fuffafo"
