When I was a kid my mother dragged me along (after much begging) with her friend to see a double feature at the movie theatre. It was a couple of B-Movies, Rasputin The Mad Monk and The Reptile. I was so scared, I didn't sleep all night. I'm sure my mother regretted her decision after a sleepless night of consoling me. I came across The Reptile not long ago and watched it. I've deduced I was quite the fraidy-cat back then.

I like those type of B-Movies too, Lucy. They ran The Reptile here last year. I really like Peter Cushing. He played in a lot of the Hammer films. He always stayed serious and in character even in the most ridiculous of circumstances in some of the Sci-Fi B-Movies. One of my favourites is Island of Terror, with the terrifying "silicates"(see video clip below). I sat on my bed as a kid when I saw it, refusing to step off because I thought the creatures would be there waiting to suck out my bones!

I love the radioactive suits they had to wear. Someone in the costume department had quite the sense of humour!

Don't know how 'Not known' this one is 'across the pond' but I remember seeing this awhile ago and liking it :-
Pretty darn strong 'female' cast and a good ole twist =

I think I've seen Island of Terror. Spiffy suits! Here's another Hammer I was watching a few days ago also with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. They did a lot of them together.

The Gorgon. Sometimes the ads are just as funny.
