I would disagree that there's one path. Everybody's life is a unique path.

What i mean precisely about the notion that you need no supports or crutches of any kind isn't what you think i mean. I'm not saying to abandon everyone and everything and to go live in a mountain by yourself. All i mean is that Oneness doesn't need a "technique" to be maintained. You can't create Oneness. It's already so. It's not manufactured. It's just recognized to be the underlying fact of the matter. Unfortunately, you usually have to pierce through layers of conditioning to see this very clearly. There's nothing even mystical or fantastic about it. It's really quite ordinary.

yea what i meant by there being one path is that there is one universal truth. everyone has a unique path, but there is only one universal truth. this truth will bring together those who are able to see it. but because everyone has a unique path in life they may not be able to see the same aspects of a universal truth -- leading to humans being seperated from eachother. but if we could see the truth as it really is we would realise that we are all one. but not everyone can see that -- and some people never will. so how do those people relate to a universal truth that is beyond their understanding? karma? divine judgement?

take for example the universal truth that jesus died for the sins and betterment of humanity. how many people can see that? how many people fall into religious pitfalls over that idea?

oneness isn't just some mystical state that is achieved one day or that has always been. the fact that humanity is so seperated from itself speaks volumes for the oneness that the human race has acheived. without a practical life of love and unity that is real acheiving a state of oneness really doesn't mean anything at all.
