Yes but when the scientists, doctors and lawyers were kids, their pretentious parents all gasped and said "But oh... you can't posssss-ibly because a footballer. Football is for children who aren't very bright".

Reminds me of my friend who's socially pretentious mum refused to let him become a footballer when he was a teen.
8 years later, he had a degree and was unemployed. He got a pro contract. And started doing very nicely..

But I do agree, the system has become corrupted with average players earning far too much. Some of thats down to silly EU laws. Maybe one day, wages will be reined in, like the music industry managed to some extent.

I'm not so sure it would be considered an upset, Belgium is ranked right around where the u.s. is.

they are no where close to germany and portugal.

Should be a great match though!!

yea. He should have been banned for longer since this is the third time he has bitten someone in the past 4 years.

He is a fantastic player but something is wrong with him mentally.

The only sport I follow Australia in is the Rugby and that Neil Robertson snooker player. I love to hate the rest. :D

It's a shame Portugal have gone out, and now that's the last we'll see of
Ronaldo's brilliance in this World Cup.

I'm half German but I'm luke-warm about supporting them.

Maybe I'll temporarily adopt Argentina, and hope for some more Messi wizardry.

So if I read the brackets right if the USA and Germany both win they would play each other again in the next round. Could be a good rematch.
