Well, I'm uploading pictures now, so while that's going on I'll tell you guys about some of the cool and weird shit that went down at the roo.

My dad drove a friend and I down to bonnaroo (he's moving down that way soon, so he spent time checking out houses and stuff) and dropped us off about 3 miles or so away from the bonnaroo entrance so he didn't have to wait in line for 4 more hours. We began walking and some nice people with a little extra room let us chill with them in line. It was some damn good timing because soon after it started pooring rain.

When we got into the campsite we found a spot pretty close to the stages to set up our tents. I couldn't believe I was worried about the fact that I had lost my dry piece a couple days ago because on the way to the campsite we must have passed at least 6 glass selling booths.
We met up with some friends who got in a little after us, and the bluntfest began. Some of our neighbors saw me smoking and brought over two dank ass blunts. I lit up one of my spliffs simultaneously. Needless to say, we were devasted. In the end, it was a blunt and spliff between me and one other guy.. good shit.

None of us went to any shows that day, but it was still quite a bit of fun... until the storm rolled in. It started raining. Not just light showers, but fucking torrential rains and tornado like wind. Worst camping night of my life. Not only was my tent quite literally in a pool of water, but drunk muther fuckers kept running into the side of my tent. I ended up having to sleep in about 2 inches of standing water.

The next morning, my friend and I moved our campsite further away from centeroo by our friends campsite. On the way there I met an artist named Apple Butter and bought a sweet lil spoon for $40. I got split off from everyone right before we were going to see Animal Collective, but I had a bitchin time. I just walked around trying to find cool looking people to chill with, which wasn't very hard. Every time I sat down I met new people, most of whom had amazing hash, but a shortage of bud, so that's where I came in. I got to try some bubble hash for the first time as well. I've never gotten so high in such a short period of time. Animal collective was amazing, and the hash was delicious.

After that I made my way back to the campsite to restock on supplies and see if my pals had come back, but they didn't so I continued walking to the Al Green show. I was walking up to the security checkpoint to try to get a feel for how strict they were when it came to searching people. That was when I saw security grab some poor kid by the arm. He just started yelling "It's not mine! It's not mine!!". Then he whipped out a huge bag of mushrooms from his pocket and threw them as far away as he could, right before security took the poor mother fucker down.. I felt so bad for him, but at the same time I started feeling scared for myself since I had a little under a quad in my pocket, and a new piece. I noticed that security wasn't patting down peoples back pockets, so I put my stuff in those and hoped for the best. I made it in without a hitch, and Al Green was fricking amazing.

Beastie boys performed after Al Green, which was amazing, AND they featured Nas!!! Holy shit was I happy. After Beastie Boys, I found one of my friends, and we waited eagerly for Phish. Got some pretty epic spots deep on the right side as well. When Phish came out and opened with Chalk Dust Torture, I was almost in tears. I was almost in tears like 5 times during the first 3 songs I was so happy. They were so damn solid, and they're set list was top notch. They had amazing jams during Down with disease and Killdevil falls. The YEM they played was the absolute coolest thing ever. They were jamming towards what would have been the end of the song and Mike played two notes that sounded like Wilson. A large portion of the audience, me included shouted Wilson. Trey and Mike just kinda looked at eachother, then at Page and Jon, and then they started playing Wilson. At the end of wilson Trey faded back into YEM and Mike finished it off with an amazing bass solo. Awesome. I really wanted to see Girl Talki after phish, but I was too tired. When we got back, I broke the zipper on my tent to the point of not even being able to zip it. That sucked.

They next day, we decided to get some acid for Of Montreal. Some random guy walked through our campsite saying "doses, mushrooms", so I called him over and he sold us a 5 strip for $40.. of shitty acid that barely did anything. Fuck him. I quickly found out from people that there was ALOT of bad acid going around Roo. Of Montreal was still a great time. Some older guy, prob 40 or so came up to me and asked if I had a bowl. He packed a fat bowl of some type of really good haze strain, and then he was like "save this for later, man" and ripped off a little bud and gave it to me. After the show one of my buddies was like "you know you just smoked with someones dad right? Thats you in 20 years. Lawl.

Next up was the Mars Volta.. Oh my god. I thought they were good at Lolla, but that was nothing compared to the show they put on at roo. The singer (cant remember his name) said some random funny shit throughout the show. When he first came out on stage he said "It's good to see you all at Burning Man!" Then at one point he was like "Everyone says that our last two albums sucked... and we like Dj's who take requests, so we're just gonna play stuff from the ones before that". What a badass.
We ended that night with a little NIN and moe. I don't really care for NIN, but it was the last chance to ever see them since this is their last tour, so we stayed for a couple songs then went to Moe.

The next day I was back on the hunt for acid, so I was just walking around campsites calling "who's got doses and fungusses!" Finally, I found a guy with shrooms and acid. He took me back to his campsite, which was a great reassurance that he was legit. I bought 2 hits, and my friend bought an 8th of shrooms (that was prob more like 2-2.3 grams). Some guy came through with a huge bag of hash. He sold me what he though was a gram for $25, but it turned out to weigh 1.8. By then it was snoop time.

Snoop was the shit. That guy really knows how to interact and please the crowd. The police hate was so think in the air you could cut it with a knife. When he was rapping up his set, he said "so.. you guys ready for Phish?" The crowed went nuts. It's was great that he acknowledged that fact that a huge portion of the people there didn't really come to see him, and it really raised my respect for the guy. If it was Kanye, he'd of probably been like "Who the FUCK is phish, you came to see MEEE!!". I'm hoping someone uploads a video of Snoop when he says "peace out my snoopadelics".

After Snoop, it was once again time for Phish. We got some spots that were pretty similar to where we were the first night, which was great except for the fact that I had to pee really bad, and I started to get the worst stomach ache I've had in a really long time. I smoked a couple bowls topped with some guys hash to see if it'd help my stomach, which it did temporarily, but I was too apprehensive about smoking alot more because I was already on acid and had to piss really badly. Right before the show started I unzipped my fly and pissed in a bottle on the sneak. I never knew how fucking hard it is to piss in a bottle when you can't see where your dick hole is in relationship to the bottle opening. Definitely sprayed a little piss on my hand and pants before I hit my target xD. Phish opened with Ac/Dc Bag this time, which was fantastic. I had really wanted to hear some stuff off the White Tape CD. Finally my stomach ache was too bad to continue standing. I was terrified that I'd have to miss the majority of phish and just go back to the campsite, but luckily I found a clearing where a bunch of people were sitting not too far back from where my spot was. I laid down with my head on my Camelbak, and I heard someone say "look, it's one of our friends!" It was the people who gave my buddy and I a ride into the festival. Trippy. After 4 songs or so, my stomach ache finally went away. I wasn't really upset because the only phish song I didn't see while lying down was Run Like an Antelope, because Bruce Springsteen came out to play with Phish.. After he was done, there was like a 45 minute-1 hour delay before phish came back on. Matters were complicated by the fact that I had to piss really badly AGAIN. This time my aim was deadly accurate though, and I had also developed a form allowing me to piss in the middle of a crowd of 70,000 people without anyone noticing. They finished they're set with First Tube, and came out with an encore of Suzy Greenburg and Tweezer Reprise. They really played their hearts out, and it was a fantastic way to end the fourth day.

I only got about 2 and a half hours of sleep that night because of the L, and because of people lighting off fireworks and shining car lights into my tent and such. I woke up at 5:30 and packed all my stuff. I was going about to pack up my tent, but decided that it'd be a better idea to just leave it there rather then deal with carrying a fucked up broken tent around for no reason.

All and All, I had a fantastic time and can't wait to go again. There's definitely a couple things I'll do differently the next time. It's all one big learning experience. My advice to people trying to buy drugs from random people would be to try and find someone selling in the campgrounds who isn't hesitant to take you back to their camp, especially for acid. If you walk around in 85+ degree weather with acid in your bag for hours at a time, it will most certainly degrade. More advice would be to get over the fear of public restrooms, because you will have to shit in less then ideal circumstances during 4 day festivals.

Yeah, they did some stuff from the new album. It was kinda hard for me to know when they changed songs though because they had such great jam sessions. None of my Phish pics from the first show turned out well, so here's some from the second. It's too bad I didn't get many great pictures, but I was having waaayy too much fun to keep fucking with my camera. Here's a dude in a fat elvis suit right before phish >;] ac/dc bag some others..
