I've been doing light workouts to help rehab my knee. Its feeling mostly better, so I'm getting back into the swing of things. Today was arms and some legsstiff.
I'm glad the knee is improving, Mama. Today is an off day for me but my 10 year old daughter asked me to quiz her on every exercise I could think of to see if she knew what they were and the proper way to do them. She did a good job. I couldn't stump her and I only had to correct her technique on one minor thing. That's my girl! And I found out yesterday that some ladies at the gym have been talking about me in a positive way. Woohoo!
This sounds crazy, but I feel that I have the best workouts when I've just used cannabis. It just seems so much easier to get into my routine. Starting the routine isn't always as easy, but once I get into it, I get into it.
Had my circuit training tonight. I found out that we will be going through more trainer changes in the near future. I don't know if I should be optimistic or pessimistic about that. I actually do like a couple of the other trainers that will be subbing but who knows what the new guy will be like? Only time will tell, I guess.
I went for a brisk walk around my local park, which takes about a kilometre and a half to get to.(Walking.)It has a really nice duckpond/nature trail.I may post pics somewhere If I can get it together.Otherwise just more sessions with my bull-worker,press ups,and I've also introduced sit-ups into my routine...Painfully...
I had weight lifting class on monday, practice on tuesday, and took wednesday as a rest day. Tonight I have practice, which I'm SOOOO excited about. We actually get to practice on an a real skate rink instead of our shitty warehouse. woohoo!
Anybody still working out? Had one of our sub trainers tonight. She usually works with other classes. She's very nice and added some interesting twists but overall I thought it was a little short in length and not very difficult at all. I like her but I'm glad she isn't our permanent replacement. As much as I personally like some of the other trainers, I think the issue has been this......this class used to be the most elite members with the toughest trainer our gym had. As time went on, the class progressed and our trainer had to make it tougher and tougher on us to keep challenging us. That was great for a long time. But then he moved away and we got a different guy who wasn't as intense. Some people quit the group. New people came in who weren't in as good of shape (which is totally fine) and the class was made a little easier (not cool at all). More of our core group left, more new people came in, it got a little more easier but it was still challenging. Now we have subs who are used to training zumba classes at 7:15 am and they have no idea how much harder this class is supposed to be. There are only 3 of us left from the original class and one of us should really be the trainer now. We're the only ones left who know what it's really supposed to be like.
I find that I don't feel the muscle burn as much or at all and I can keep on going. I used to fatigue after 50 or so crunches but when I'm high I can push over 150 and not even notice, the burn actually feels really good.
51 mins on they elliptical without stopping I was popped for me that's pretty long will get up too an hour little by little
Gonna go lift somre weights at the Y today. I've been seeing this new girl and she's really occupied my time. I really forgot about art, exercise, school and music. But I'm gonna get back on the horse now and stop giving her 100% of my attention.
This is supposed to be an off day for me but the other work-out thread reminded me of a core work-out I saw on another board. There was a poll and they were about 50-50 on whether they could do it or not. If anyone wants to try it.... 50 crunches 15 push-ups 1 min plank 30 sec plank on each side 1 min bridge 15 push-ups 1 min plank 30 sec plank on each side 50 crunches 1 min raised plank 50 crunches I thought it was pretty good. I was shooting for 9:00 but finished at 9:33. Looking forward to trying it again sometime just to compare times.
Got back into gym finally. Buddy talked me into it. Helped lifting not solo. Lost about ten lbs of muscle and thirty off my bench 340-310. Today i did barbell bench press dumbbell bent over rows leg press shrugs deadlifts biceps dumbbell curls triceps push downs rope rope forearm thing calf raises bicycle crunches Quite a bit less than my old routine but still working every major muscle group
I walked one mile to Enfield park,(Really pretty park) and then one mile round the park, then one mile home. All distances are approximate.I find gentle walking the best exercise for me.
