Hiking is always good fun. I like to find a strong sturdy stick pretty quickly to help me get around. I live in a great location for hiking etc.
Did 27 minutes of fasted HIIT on the bike. 3,000?? Most I've ever done in a day was 1,000, and I was quite sore after. My average is about 300 1-2 nights per week, usually on the nights I am not doing weights.
over the last six months I put on 47 pounds (dreamer bulk???) my arms grew 1 and 1/2 inches thighs grew nearly 2 inches in diameter squat went up 110 lbs dead lift went up 160 lbs bench went 80 lbs
I hiked the Grouse Grind again today! Here is a picture of me at the base of the trail. I took a super cute picture at the top as well, but I am too lazy to spend the few minutes uploading it.
lolwut How much of that 47lbs is muscle, though? It's not only improbable, but impossible, to gain 47lbs of muscle in 6 months, even for someone on loads of gear.
rat, considering I came off a 19 day water fast that allowed my body to put on more muscle more efficiently I probably put on 15-20 lbs. nearly half the weight in lean mass...that's the joy of bulking though, you going to get some fat too and after you figure out your Marcos you can steady bulk, keeping fat gain down. which is where im at now, staying 199 and getting leaner and bigger
Holy fuck... a 19-day water fast?? That sounds awful in so many ways, and it certainly can't be good for your muscles. What exactly is the point in starving yourself for 19 days? I mean, you claim to have gained 20+ lbs of lean mass in 6 months, but how much mass did you lose during that prolonged 19-day fast??
I went kayaking yesterday for a couple hours. My friend came with me and he kept wanting to race, so we kept a pretty good pace up. I can definitely feel it in my arms today, since that's not something I do often. Today I am going to try hula hoop paddle boarding again! That was a pretty intense workout last time and it really worked my legs and midsection.
To burn away all your muscle and possibly go into organ failure? Usually when a person does a prolonged fast or calorie restricted diet, and then suddenly does a "bulk," most of the weight that will be gained back will be in water and fat, and very rapidly.
Spent almost three hours working out tonight. Started with 45 minutes of cardio on the bike, and followed it up with my usual full-body weight routine consisting of the big three, plus curls, rows and overhead press.
I hiked the BCMC trail for over three hours today. Two hours up and one hour and a bit to get back down. I'm sore and happy. I did wear the wrong socks though, so I have a large blister on each ankle. I'll deal with them tomorrow.
