Hate the gym, love martial arts so they've always been my go to for excerzise. recently getting back into some so that my body can recover form three months of intense study (eating shit, barely seeing the sun, barely moving) Tonight I just got back from a really good Jujutsu lesson (I will ache tomorrow), thursday its a bit of medieval wrestling, spear and cutlass work
no faith? if i was making things up i would say that i jump off the top. is there anything equally cheesy? the more the merrier anyway. especially this time of year, it starts to get kind of dead out there. it was busy this weekend because of the holiday, but last weekend we were the only ones out there all day.
You should take it as a compliment. That is, that I believe you're too smart with how you post to make up a blatant lie, so truths be bent to sound believable.
^ i'll take it. really is true though; this is a strange, lawless area. there's a state owned "nature preserve" that basically serves as the beach where you're allowed to drink. from there you can wade out to the break wall and walk out to the lighthouse, which is privately owned by a guy from out of town, who uses it for camping a few weekends a year. jumping off the lighthouse has become a local tradition since the lighthouse became privately owned. it is now. the lake itself is between 75 and 78 degrees F, depending on which report you believe. and you jump into the harbor side, so it's probably slightly warmer even. but i've done it as early as mid may and as late as mid october. those were both much colder. edit: it's about 25 feet deep where you jump, so also perfectly safe. and since it's in the harbor, it's usually calm unless a big boat just went by and created wake. the clarity varies; it's usually cloudier than outside the break wall, but still usually not too bad.
That is so cool that you can drink on the beach without worrying about the police giving you hassle. You said the owner uses the lighthouse for camping - does he sleep inside the thing? I LOVE camping, and think it would be so cool to camp next to, or even stay in a lighthouse.
yeah, the bottom level is set up with bunk bed and/or hammocks (i have been inside, but it was over a year ago so i don't remember exactly. i think there were beds and hammocks). the bedding is around the outside, and there is a sort of kitchen table in the middle. the next level up is full of supplies, and then there's several more levels that are basically empty, all the way up to the roof.
Okay, that is way cool. I think it would be so romantic to spend a night there with a lover, or a couple of close friends.

4 weeks ago I pulled my lower back doing dead lifts, on my second set 7th rep I felt it...the next few days I was scared I snapped it up and it put me out of the gym and work to a certain extent for a month...lesson learned is to never do sloppy sets and lower the weights if needed. My back is healed now but i have nerve damage that runs down my butt and right leg to my calf...this may take awhile to heal. good news is I came back to the gym yesterday and today. also, I'm going try creatine for the possibility that it helps with depression. I noticed while I was on it that I felt good, and coming off it I felt bad, of course Ill welcome back the added muscle volume too.... also lost 5 pounds on the month break I'll report back
I've never heard of creatine helping depression. All it does is make you retain water weight. Maybe I wasnt using the good stuff.
No, not special creatine. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865560081/Creatine-does-more-than-build-muscles-it-helps-treat-depression-U-researchers-say.html?pg=all
I went for an hour long walk today. My leg is still bothering me. I went to the doctor today and he said it is definitely my IT band, however the pain seems to travel from my hip to my knee and now down to my ankle. So I dunno. I definitely hear some clicking when I sit in a chair and kick my left leg out in front of me.
A couple or more hours hiking up and down hills between 8000 and 9000 steps (I didn't notice how many steps were logged on my app before I started). I'm estimating 700 to 900 calories burned. My usual daily walk on days off from work (on mostly level ground) is around 12000 steps with around 800+ calories burned. My mistake today was buying trail mix. I ate the whole package on the way home (830 calories).
You should spend 20mins a night on the floor just stretching your legs and glutes out. I find with me that most back and leg pain comes from tight glutes. Even try a lacrosse ball or a firm massage ball and put all your body weight I to it and roll it all over your tendons and muscles. Hurts a lot, but it's the good sort of pain.
