60 minutes of cardio. I really wanted to lift today, but I am still sore AF, so I didn't think it was a good idea. Question - Why, when there is a row of 15 treadmills, and I am the ONLY person using a treadmill, do guys feel the need to occupy the machines on either side of me?
That's happened to me as well. At the gym I used to go to there were about 30 treadmills and on more then one occasion I would be walking on one and someone would go on the one right next to me. It rustled my jimmies so fucken badly. My blood is boiling just thinking about it. I think I even made a thread about it on here. I would usually go at least 10-15 treadmills away from someone if they were the only one there
I drink it only after working out. However, you can drink it anytime. Protein powders aren't really necessary, though. I prefer to get the bulk of my protein from food. Whey is good for after workouts because it is fast digesting and is absorbed into the muscles quickly.
I usually add a banana to thicken it up, and I use almond or cashew milk instead of water. Regular milk works good, too. Also, not all protein powders taste the same. Some taste like shit while others taste really good.
Oh, it annoyed my greatly. The guy to my left was even swinging his arms up and down, kind of like a jumping jack motion. Like, get the fuck out of my bubble, weirdo.
Up real flights of stairs, or just a machine? When I lived in a 22 story building I used to go up the stairwell for exercise. I'd usually get winded before I hit 9.
Real flights. Just around the corner from us is a shop and there's 15 metal steps. I just walk to them. Jog up and down and then walk home.
So @rat and @ash.. My meals during my awake period are usually a yogurt and a piece of fruit for my first meals, then a chicken wrap or sandwich for lunch time abouts. Should I try protein shake instead of the yogurt?
Not necessarily. All that is important is that you're getting enough protein overall. Whether it's from yogurt or a protein shake doesn't matter.
At least I'm doing something. Keep hating away, though, I'm sure that give kind folk the confidence to make a difference in their lives.
