I think that perhaps there is a very small window of time that can be very influential in an individual's life.
The trouble with trying to repair someone is it is impossible to repair them unless they want to be repaired themselves. I think when it comes to child molesters, murderers and rapists at this point locking them up is the best option. Perhaps someday we can come up with a way to heal a damaged person but we are not evolved well enough yet.
It's a temporary remedy to a byproduct of another issue. And there's nothing wrong with temporary fixes....bandaids. Anyways those issues are very external. Mental issues which can't be seen with a naked eye are much harder to actually remedy. You cannot fix people because people have to fix them selfs. I can give someone a cookbook and ingredients to cure their mental illness but if they don't use the materials it's then out of my hands.
