just the one knife?.. here's the whole set.. they are Solingen, German handcrafted knives.. its about a $400-500 knife set.. i need a new case for these knives.. the case is all fucked up and beat up.. i have one other knife set that i only paid $80 for.. it was in the close-out area of a food show i went to awhile back.. but they are in my truck.. i take them to work until i can get a new case for these what i cook with and what i eat with are two different things.. my whole pot and pan set is NSF approved.. meaning i could cook with them in a commercial kitchen
i may try that recipe without the bacon when I go home next. Living in a dorm sucks cause there isnt a kitchen to cook in. I love experimenting and making new recipes
^^^ personally i dunno how this would taste without bacon.. probably bland.. and would need some work.. since the bacon makes this dish extremely rich.. but portabellas would probably be a good meatless substitute..
i was thinking of something along those lines. Hell, thats a ton better than the spaghetti I'm used to serving where I work.
well.. when i get a better set of knives i'll keep ya in mind.. but first i gotta get new china I'm likin these..
How delicious does this sound? Bagel Bites, on top of actual pizza, with bacon, beef jerky, mustard and mayonaise....maybe no mayo
i am very drawn twords the square design.. i like the elegant look of them... maybe when i get paid..
you dont have like a store that gives huge discounts to chefs????.....my mom picked up shatter resistent plates and stuff for like 75 cents each
yea.. there are restaurant supply stores in near by citites.. but actually a lot of the dinnerware at outlet stores.. dollar tree.. family dollar.. etc.. all sell dinnerware that is sold through restaurant suppliers
for dinner tonight i made.... oven roasted potatoes (chunked up the potatoes i had from my grandparents' garden, tossed with olive oil and a bunch of cracked black pepper, cumin and salt... and then roasted in the oven for a bit) Pickled fresh cucumbers (cukes came from my grandparents' garden as well) and three bean salad (took three bean mix I had in a can (kidney, garbanzo, and little red beans), rinsed them off, threw in some chopped celery, onions and chunks of cheddar cheese, added lots of cracked black pepper, a little salt and a little hot sauce and then dressed it with mayo and some spicy brown mustard) it was SUPER yummy.
Joker that is a beautiful set! I've never had sqaure bowls before, I might just look into something like that.
if my plate is clean and doesnt look like its been thrown around. ill eat off it. 10 plates, 10 bucks, what a deal.
