No, you're castrated in the literal sense, your testicles stop producing sperm, they atrophy, erections become harder(some people can still get them to a point, others totally lose the ability), your sex drive will disappear and become near existent most likely for a while, but after a given while it comes back as a female one.

And no, anti androgens come before estrogen. Taking estrogen without taking anti androgens will make said estrogen have less effect at the same dose, and cause a war of the hormones. 25mg is quite the low dose though, unless you were told to take one in the morning and one at night.

I wonder what the effects are of a guy having a female sex drive... can't find that anywhere.

And this level of Spiro was given to me as a start. He may raise it if I have no bad reactions to it.

And I was thinking of starting both at the same time, but maybe I should start Spiro a bit early.

What's wrong with estrogen? Yo guys want full body orgasms? Get estrogen!

Side effects may include: Gender dysphoria, blood clotting, boobs, muscle loss, thicker hair, shrunken dick, cancer, societal alienation and hate crime. Estrogen is not for everyone, consult your doctor first.

Though this is also reality for people not lucky enough to be born female and natural born females:

I think I'll still be able to kick someone's ass if they start something. I'll just keep staying out of bad neighborhoods. =P

I'm still very confused as to how sex at all works after... well, becoming a woman. I can't find anything on it... only porn.

So you can still be turned on due to estrogen, yet since the penis doesn't really do much, how do you... finish? Haha.

Well minus a lot of working out you will lose quite a bit of strength, the average woman of the same size has only about 55% the upper body strength of a man, and generally man are much larger in size which makes this gap even larger. Feel the muscles on an average man/woman, even on scrawny guy with almost no muscles they're still kind of hard, on women they're kind of squishy. Remember by transitioning you make your transgendered status known to the public to a point, and we are collectively one of the most hated/discriminated against groups there are. People come together to hate on us. Not to be a downer, but it a reality.

But for more fun things, your penis still works to a point. Penis doesn't need to hardened to orgasm or feel pleasure, all those nerves are there regardless. The penis centered/sight arousal(this is a vague generalized way to put it) of men becomes the more emotional/touch response of women. Your body as a whole becomes more ergonerous and responsive to touch when aroused, and your orgasm becomes more a warm creeping rise then full body type deal. Though don't take that to mean better, that's just more of brain wiring, if your brain is female your brain will probably enjoy the female orgasm more. Men don't exactly gyped by not having a full body one, they have one very concentrated rod of pleasure sticking out from them.

Oh god high school biology has failed.

Estrogen is the main hormone in women, testosterone the main one in men, hormones play a rather large role in how you physically develop(i.e. why women have boobs, why men have muscles) and brain activity/emotions among other things

Haha, where do you find these TG comics? They're kinda cute =P

Also, do you know if Spironolactone only depeens the voice for females who take it? I can't find any reports of it on males, only females.

That strip, is pretty much what a lot of transwomen have to live through. And you can be putting your life in danger for no other reason that just being yourself. Of course, not everyone will experience this, or at least not as bad. But most transwomen will face some discrimination at some point in their lives. I have been shouted at in the street and been ridiculed purely for just existing. The life of a transwoman can be incredibly tough, isolating, and can be very brutal in some circumstances. Where you live will have some bearing on the level of discrimination you are likely to endure, but it's fair to say most transwomen have to deal head on with prejudice at some point. I myself, decided to live as a hermit and isolate myself completely from social situations, as trying to live a normal life as a "woman with a penis" for me, is almost impossible. But most transwomen have no say in who they are, and though they might be opening themselves up to prejudice and even violence just for being themselves, it's either that, or living a lie. Which for some, is just not an option. Me, my life is terrible, but I'd rather be miserable on my own terms, than live a lie, and be deeply unhappy just to fit in with what others expect me to be.

But certainly...unless someone has a deep sense that their physical sex is wrong, and their gender doesn't tie in with that, and this has caused great distress in their lives, then I would certainly advise against "becoming a woman" for those who are not in that category. It can be a very hard life, and to choose to open yourself up to those things unless a woman is really what you feel you are, to me is just downright stupid, and foolish.

Spiro won't do either, spiro blocks androgens, females have very small amounts of androgens to begin with, so a female taking spiro, the spiro would basically do nothing to her but make her pee a lot. Voice deepening is a main side effect of an androgen. There's no way to fix it though, once your voice deepens it's stuck that way, you must train your voice to speak in a higher way.

This can not be stated enough, why transsexuals go through a process that's ridiculously expensive, physically challenging and unleashes a world of hate onto us is for the sheer discomfort reality has always held for us and how difficult it is. Like going through puberty, most people are awesome happy about it, I wanted to die(I mean that in the most literal sense). I was so constantly horrified with my own body. Somewhere along that line way back in the day I was so horrified of my body getting bigger(in the general sense as men do) and wanted to be smaller I developed an awesome eating disorder. Somehow at the time it didn't occur to me that being 6ft and just above 130lbs might be a problem. Hey Ana, please die.

But...but, full body orgasm! And you know you wish you had your own boobs. Except for when it came to like running, swinging, and well anything that makes them bounce around.

But speaking of boobs, more comics!

I think what musicfreak9000 is saying, is he secretly wants to be a transsexual!

    Kidding, kidding.

Also I'm getting a little confused about Spiro. You said, "Voice deepening is a main side effect of an androgen."

It's an anti-androgen, so it won't deepen the voice...? I think that's what you meant. Sorry, haha. I'm a little scatterbrained at the moment. I'm just super jumpy and excited I'll be taking this soon. I just dread the voice deepening =P

Feel free to slap my boobs silly if they grow. Also that comic is cute. If you post more I will hug you. Meep.

TheMadcapSyd, would it be okay if I talked to you over AIM some time about this? I don't want to take up too much of your time, though... you've helped so much already. Let me know if you're okay with it :)
