At the moment: 'Led Zeppelin' tops the poll.That surprises me because virtually all the top & most prestigious groups in popularity terms are listed.

Pink Floyd shit on Led Zeppelin. This is a disgrace.

 

Why are so many people saying led zeppelin is their favorite? Maybe it's cause I have been hearing all their shit since before I could talk, but srsly, I just don't see what the raving is all about.

Well, I was just listing bands off of the top of my head, and unfortunately I was limited to only 10 options. Trust me, if I could have made the poll larger, all of the above (in the two posts above mine) would be there .

At what point does a band "sell out"? When they go from playing a garage/basement to playing for drinks at the local bar? Maybe when they start doing paying gigs? When they sign a record deal? When they tour and make a lot of money?

Yes, the Stones charge ridiculous amounts of money for tickets. Why? Because they're still the biggest shit around and people will pay it. Since when does sucess = selling out?
