For The Oldtimers: Why Are You Still Here?

When we say "old-timers" do we mean veterans of the forum, or people who are older in terms of age?

In either way, I'm eighteen now, so I'm both. I remember looking at this forum when I was fourteen... I guess I'm getting up there in years, eh?

 

I think if you watched men walk on the moon live on t.v. you are in that old timers club . (born 1960 or before )

 

Glen is in the ancientoldtimers category...that would be the category for people who are old enough to have kids in the oldtimers category :wheelchair:

I've never seen a forum like this one before. I know there's no better one, I've looked. Sometimes it's dead around here but it always picks up again.

It's comfortable like a 60 year long marriage.

 

It's an interesting place to visit... plus I kinda help out a tiny bit.

 

I consider a lot of people friends on here...

And there always seems to be a topic that sparks my interest and conversations I want to be a part of

It's the only forum I really go to and I've been here for as long as anyone,I think. Except Skip! I almost always enjoy coming in and many of the people are really fun and some are very smart,regardless of age. Kinda like a little home away from home. I've learned a lot here,especially about women. Let's just say the 50s were differant in about every way and I appreciate that.

 

I feel like this place needs me. It would be boring without me.

 

It's fun, there are some seriously crazy people who tell on themselves, you can learn stuff that might even be true, you can get pissed off, hear sad stories and best of all I can turn it all off by touching the button. It's like the real world only better cause I can't find the off switch for the real world.

 

I'm an oldtimer, but haven't been around the forums very long... So I guess I don't count.

I agree though too many subforums. I don't like posting in forums not frequented.

 

I returned mostly to speak to Marie since lost her contact info...then I wanted to see if anyone else was still here and since I just moved somewhere and don't have any friends, I've found myself just looking around here confused a bit the last few nights...so I'm not really sure why I'm here...could someone enlighten me?
