well I spose everyone has their own phase of some particular type of music, mine was metal...I still listen to good metal but that list has decreased considerably.
I hate the shit that passes for rap these days, same with metal.

Old Eric B and Rakim stuff is great though and I like instrumental hip hop without the rap...and actually I was hinting that Eminem is a phase which it usually is

hey man I obviously know mainstream rap and hip hop are shit, every genre's mainstream music is shit. You gotta go to the underground usually to find the good stuff.

You're foolish...I think that anything with an open-mind can find at least one song they like in each genre.

 

Personal preference. When you basically tell someone that they are a poser and then insist that you know nothing about what they are "posing" to be...well - it makes you look stupid as fuck.

I find that the ignorant 15 year old punks are the ones so militant about music genres. "Can't spell crap without rap!" And they go off to say they are so musically knowledgeable or some stuff. That requires an open mind and a respect for all styles.

i don't like the anise either, but i've tried absinthe. i don't like the licorice-ness. we did get a louche to match the sky the other day, if i can get the pictures from the phone to the internet i'll post them. hubby has been frequenting the wormwood society website, they are making an effort to educate rather than perpetuating the myth that absinthe is particularly bad for you.
