The only way to change the world is to change the people who live in it.

No amount of leadership can do this... as has been seen by assasinations crippling a movement - people die, if their ideals are only followed... their ideals die with them.

It doesn't matter what you do... its most important to simply be as you wish the world to be - without exception.

Power is still a measure of how many people follow... by being a leader who does not accept any form of following, you are serving to empower the world to make their own decisions... at which point (500 years?) each individual may accept responsibility to future generations through their whole life.

Personal empowerment coupled with an understanding of our place in regard to 1000 years is the key to changing the world in the most positive of ways.

In short, come solely to your own conclusions in absolutely everything you do from now until the day you die... while providing for such a mentality to grow. Why must be asked before anything... in time answers come.

Any action directed toward opening the mind of the world to peace is worthy of action.

I don't know whats good for you now, but I know whats good for the world hundreds of years from now.

Anyone, anywhere can say what you have just said, whether this forum or a hall of thousands... anyone can simply say "thats stupid", few are willing to discuss why.

Your disconcern with a long term future is what seals our fate.

If you have grown out of such ideals, perhaps you need to review the "why ask why" thread I posted and it will shed some light on why.

You're not opening any minds, you're preaching to the choir instead.

How do you fail to understand this?

... and no, you do not know what's good for the world hundreds of years from now. That's a ridiculous statement.

That advice could have applied to anything, and offered nothing specific or useful.

It was a few blanket truisms, wrapped up in a few paragraphs of speculation about the future. We're not even talking about attitudes toward abortion in Thailand because theres nothing being offered to the discussion with this tangent.

I know what mentality people must have to provide for a peaceful existence.

The mentality is what is important... once a mindset is there, actions are a result of that mindset... I cannot lay out plans for a perfect city 1000 years from now, but I can confidently say what mentality must reign true for our continued survival and evolution to be an option.

This is not the choir and I am not the preacher.

What better way to discuss such things than a forum like this? Perhaps relationships generated here will turn to significant friendships, perhaps through such friendships change is brought.

I do not know all the answers, but I am here, now, and you are there, now, and you oppose my very action without explanation.

    of course it is...

thailand, here... we are all human and all relatively similar.

I seek to answer the forced abortion problem by answering what allows for such a thing in the first place.

There is no specific plan, there cannot be a specific plan... you must only live a peaceful existence... it really is that simple.

Just think about the smile that lead to world peace idea... thats how to truly make it happen.

I'm having this discussion with you because I don't like your type. What is your type?

    Lazy pothead pseudo-intellectuals.

You don't know shit about a peaceful mentality. Don't you notice how your mentality creates hostility towards you?

I have nothing against discussing. I have a lot against people with no life-experience who think that they know what's good for me.

are you serious? ANY asshole can talk as much game as they want. It means NOTHING if they don't back it up.

Honestly man all you do is come on here with a better then thou attitude and preach your idealistic completely annoying advice or ideas to people who never ASKED for your help. The way you talk is what pisses me off. You say shit like you have all the answers, and everyone else is just ignorant before you.

Talk about changing the world as much as you want. But anyone can talk about what they should be doing. Few people actually back it up.

on topic, i'm sorry for your friend. I think just being there for her when she cries is the most you can do to really help.

No, There are very different attitudes toward abortion in Thailand and the US. What do you know about Thailand?

The cultural attitudes in Thailand, which you know nothing about.

There cannot be a specific plan regarding a change you wan't to make? How do you get anything done?

Any meaningful political change has come about by way of planning and hardwork with specific goals in mind.

Not living a peaceful existance. A tree lives a peaceful existance and has nothing to do with abortion in Thailand.

Without any malice, all the posts I have seen of yours, I have truly seen nothing of consequence to any issue you have addressed.

I know several award winning poets, who oft speaks in riddles, and yet when they need to, have no problem offering actual advice or contemplated answers with details, facts, or conjecture relevant to the issue at hand.

I have seen none of this from you. Only ramblings unedited for brevity and without the tounge to make riddles tasteful.

In the future, try to be specific. Otherwise you might as well just be posting snipets from Vanity Fair in response to threads. It would be just as useful.

    My answer is quite specific.

Live as you wish the world to be, I believe you said it yourself.

From there the answers become apparant... our path is not so direct.

There is no one way to change the world positively, but there is a way to live that allows for such change to come as it may...

Just allow for such change to come... I can't get more specific than that.

I will not align my views to gain acceptance... such is the problem...

yes this entirely relates to this thread.

My mentality causes hostility only in those who wish to be hostile... that is, those who DO NOT practice a peaceful existence.

I am not nor will I be hostile towards you.

Wait, so anyone who disagrees with you doesn't practice a peaceful existence?

    Are you on crack?

    Exactly...

The people are the ones responsible... and all that may be done is to allow for a future that does not allow for such things as forced abortion or rape by neither choosing to do nor accepting any of that as the way things must be.

You can't "stop" a rapist... but you can prevent a person from becoming a rapist in the first place.

Specifically speaking, everyone has a different view of how the world should be. Specifically speaking, Thai versus American views on abortion for example.

Disagreement is not hostility, take my comments in the context they are given.

There is no context to your comments.

You're saying absolutely nothing. You're talking about some far off imaginary change.

    Wake up.

ahh, but we must all logically conclude that for our race to continue to evolve and prosper, we must have peace.

To conclude anything else is to seal our destructive reality...

Logic must direct action... anything else doesn't make sense, and its how we have now arrived at conclusions so far fetched and so long continued that they have become a new form of "logic".
