I am not in college, what would make you assume that?

So much for a laid back forum, geez....

Its a discussion, posts like this only serve to remind of the mindset that does not allow for such discussion....

I don't believe I told anyone to do anything?

The only reason I can see such a simple discussion coming to this point is it being under a discussion of someone's personal experience with the situation... such things have been discussed without flaming in many threads :)

The original post is a terrible situation... but I don't think its out of the question to pose the question of how the situation came to be in regard to many years before, and apply that to how the world is/may be tomorrow.... in fact my posts serve to look beyond the grim reality to a possibly positive outcome, and do that always.

I also didn't see the perspective of the pro-abortion folks in regard to me standing up for the baby that was killed... if you truly believe the mother's life is more important than the baby's, then such a discussion will lead nowhere but where it has.

I never expected such a response to a given opinion... not in a "random thoughts" forum.... :)

cranky...i think maybe people have a bigger problem with your delivery, not your message. people resent being being talked down to. you come across as having a holier-than-thou attitude, and no one respects that.

You must look well beyond your lifetime to see what change can happen :)

Is this post interpreted as "telling someone what to do"?

Its a good idea to look well beyond your lifetime, then you can see what change can possibly happen!

    Same idea, sound better?

Makes no matter to me, I just enjoy posting *random thoughts* :)

Well, most people who have innovative or revolutionary ideas are able to convince and persuade their fellow man

Looks like you struck out there judging from this random sampling

Such far reaching ideas are hard for someone who thinks inside of a box to grasp... before assuming a "high and mighty" theme here, I say that to make a point:

We are all in some sort of a "universal" box, because we may only be as intelligent as anyone may be at this time - expanding the box on a worldwide scale is extremely difficult in a per lifetime basis, but now when your mindset changes to that of the next 500 years, the box may grow as big as it may - but only if we remember we *can* progress... we *can* better ourselves AND serve as an example to others who may do the same... ONLY IF! :)

Now you can either push on the walls to make the universal box bigger, or you can crawl inside of your own manufactured box - which serves only to stop and eventually reverse our natural evolution of thought.

If your decision in regards to who runs the country may be swayed by a supporter of his whom you don't agree with on something completely unrelated.... well, I'll point it out and leave it there, no need for more bickering ;)

    I'll smoke to that ;)

And I'll leave this thread at that... out of respect to the original poster's situation, such a topic was not the place for such a discussion :)

Anyone wishing to discuss anything, feel free to PM me for an unbiased and unrelenting opinion! I can be swayed if an argument is strong enough.... although my opinions are generally already based on logical conclusion, which is hard to disprove :)

oh, and nice work in Michigan too, abortion is legal and:

DETROIT - Mitt Romney scored his first major primary victory Tuesday, a desperately needed win in his native Michigan that gave his weakened presidential candidacy new life. It set the stage for a wide-open Republican showdown in South Carolina in just four days.

I heard Ron Paul was favored until you tried to help
