tylerdurden, Sorry to say but there IS something wrong with you. The foreskin is supposed to be fully retracted. When you're a baby it can't be retracted because it's melded to your penis head, then as you get older it should gradually come loose, so that by the time you're going through puberty it should be fully retractable. That said, it may be just late in happening for you (don't know how old you are?). But if you're an adult and you can't retract it, then that is not normal. Some people have foreskins that are too tight, and they sometimes get it circumcised, although that is a very drastic step and you would lose most of your pleasure during sex so don't take that option lightly. Besides, it may not be too tight, it might simply be that it hasn't naturally retracted yet, and you need to give it a little gentle and gradual encouragement. I remember when mine first came back all the way (I was about 6 or something) and it felt a bit like I was breaking it, but after it came free it felt so much better. I don't know if not being able to retract it is actually harmful. I can't really see why it would be. The only big problem I can think of is sex. Sex may be painful, since the skin is supposed to go all the way back during intercourse. The foreskin is there to help the penis move in and out easily, so if it's not working it may hurt a bit? Personally, I think the most perfect thing for retracting your foreskin is a woman's lips. It just feels so much softer than fingers! As for the origins of circumcision: for millennia, it's been a religious form of sacrifice (and still is in some cultures) but in America (and America only) it was introduced about 100 years ago as a medical prevention for masturbation. This didn't work as a prevention (if anything, it made boys masturbate more), and anyway masturbation was subsequentally found to be harmless. So there is no longer a reason for Americans to do it other than tradition. All other reasons given by Americans for circumcision are stupid. Chopping body parts off in case they get cancer is... just so dumb! The foreskin does not breed bacteria as many believe, it actually coats the penis with an antibacterial resin called smegma. Smegma=clean. Circumcised cock=unprotected. Also, the foreskin has a bit of a reputation for being 'useless', but it's far from useless as it has 12 important functions (most importantly, it provides most of a man's sexual pleasure!). Cutting it off at a whim is not a good idea for any man, but cutting it off an innocent baby because of tradition is pretty messed up in my opinion. In other words, I'm all FOR SKIN!
Hey. I have just pulled back my foreskin for the first time ever. I have been doing the following: Every night, I went to bed and pulled my foreskin as far bag as I could without it hurt for half and hour. Each night, I was able to pull it a big further back, and finally, after 3 weeks, I am able to do it. The reason it hurts is that the skin at the tip is used to be very narrow, and it will have to expand a lot more than usually. So it is very important that you don't lose patience, and let it take the time it takes, elsewhere it may literally crack, and then you need circumcision. Whenever you succeed, you may experience that the foreskin is a little sore, but that is because it is getting used to spanning around that much meat. It only took me an hour before I got used to it. Also notice, that the little loose bit of skin at the tip of the penis is gone. It will instead gather around the tip of your glans, and a small area of your glans will be exposed. Finally, your glans will be sore. It is because it is very sensitive, and it is not used to contact. But it is like when people starts using contact lenses. They just have to get used to touching the eye. So I recommend you touch the glans a couple of time a day, and slowly, you will get used to it.
I am cut my best friend was not. They literally advised him to masturbate with lotion or baby oil. Never force it but try to pull it back both when soft and hard but always pull it back forward. We had some fun following doctors orders LOL
