He was a man of God. The God of Solomon and Jesus are the SAME GOD Heron.

Jesus claimed himself, "Before Abraham, I AM"

yeah a good example of regurgitation. Christianity lumps everything together and people so quickly put scripture into their own self-pleasing contexts. There are soooo many different demonations ;) and churches with different faiths and interpretations: we believe in tongues, we don't; we dance and handle snakes, we don't let our women talk in church, etc. Any believer in Christ who 'belongs' to a man-made order is less a believer of Christ but more a follower of man.

Old Testament references have zero application to Jesus Christ. OT God killed everybody all the time; NT God killed one person--himself. For you if you choose to believe it.

Say Jesus is god? He was crucified. Being God he had full power to stop that from taking place...but he didn't. If anything it is a statement to say, 'hey i've been humbled...maybe i didn't do the 'best' job creating this whole little earth-life thing...but i'm gonna get down on my knees and get below you...to suffer.' That is the picture of God that Jesus presents. Anyone who goes around saying 'repent, repent' is completely skewed. Jesus only preached 'repent' once...he was more about helping people...hmmm he changed water into wine because his mom asked him to. I mean..yeah the God Jesus presents is a real 'fucking bastard'. ;)

Did you just say the OT has zero application to Christ? Think about that and comeback before I rebut. God bless.

So if Solomon is a christian, because Jesus and the OT god are the same, the Muslims and Jews are Christian too?

this could change things. Guess heavens gonna have a few more residents.

no you're right i shouldn't have said 'zero'. it was more in reference to out of context OT statements. BUT, i will say that Christ, while the fullfillment of OT scrtiptures, is also the nullification of them.

anyway i definitely gave an eager response to the Solomon thing.

its the same as it always is...people are indoctrinated. they will respond with something that means nothing, but fundamental to their man-constructed ideology, ultimately preserving the pride Jesus so zealously warned them about.

Do not follow rules of men which are flawed, but rather follow the word of God which is perfect.

wait...are you saying the bible is the word of God? The word of God written by men, translated through various languages, held in the constructs and rules of grammar spoken by human language until its meaning can wash out in a version called 'the message' bible: easy reading & understanding?

sounds like walking, talking contradiction. Discernment is the greatest gift of all.

Jesus spoke in riddles...why you think that is? The Jesus I follow is the one who wrote in the sand when the opposers were confronting him and his actions.

You do realise that your line of thinking 'Word of God' is THAT line that killed Moors in the crusades, enslaved africans, etc. That is the line your ideology comes from...just the same as you quote Jesus's lineage through Abram, David, Solomon...the ole' word a god line is the murderous kind.

i am sorry...i just think you may be building these 'christian' misinterpretations rather than breaking them down. i urge you to break from your constructs as Jesus broke from his...he is the revolutionary who birthed Christianity out of Judaism.

Jesus did not speak in riddles. Parables are stories. There's a definite ending. Enslaving Africans and killing Moors has little to do with Biblical teaching or fact. Those two things are specifically prohibited in the Bible. Evil people do things in the name of religion all the time. Bible teaching did not enslave Africans or kill Moors. Evil men did. Bro, get in touch with me and we'll talk about this.

What I am saying is that the men that wrote the Bible were inspired by God. Therefore, ALL words written in the Bible are in reality God's words.

The only contradiction here is that you say you believe in Jesus yet you do not believe His words are true.

Jesus spoke in PARABLES so that the people would understand Him better and yet even though He explained it so simple... they still rejected Him.

What killed all those people is exactly whaw YOU are doing... they ignored the word of God rather than embraced it. Last time I check, Jesus said those who live by the sword, die by the sword. Yet, there were events such as the crusades where people would kill others just for their religion. Those people were far from the teachings of Christ and what it said in HIS word.

Anyone can say they are inspired by God.

There could be some guys right now writing a New Testament part 2 and say they are inspired by god just as the other ones said.

    Also..

Exodus:12:12: For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

So that was Jesus's doings? Smiting all the innocent little kids? Wow...

Anybody can say anything. I can say what you said is false. You can say I'm a liar. It's about what you believe to be true. I choose to believe God gave his Son to die on the cross for my sins. What do you I get out of that? I believe spiritual immortality. I believe someone who helps when the chips are down. I believe a good moral compass when I question my own motives. Why does this enrage people?
