By the way all my friend wanted was for the guy to be caught and put in jail. And he is now, so the cops helped my friend get what he wanted.

Damn they are terrible people aren't they? Helping a kid find the guy that caused his life to change like that.....

Well so am I. So are lots of other people.

I'm not saying all cops are good, but there are some that are. I've only came across 2 dick cops in my life. The rest have been nice to me even when I've done something stupid.

Like a week or something ago when that cop gave me a drive home because I was on the highway and shit. He could have arrested me for no helmet and like 3 other illegal things but he didn't. He just didn't want me to get hit so he gave me a ride home.

police have the job of protecting us in the most basic sense...not make our lives a fucking hell.

just wait a couple years and those "nice cops" will turn right around and be complete fucks. they do generalizing out the ass. be thankful you are white, too. you won't be pinned for more stupid shit. as it is, you will be followed by cruisers, questioned and harassed by cops just because you are a teenager or because you are a teenager with a shitty lookin car.

I'm sure that the cop is decent, but the point is he didn't do anything. the government/police system allowed the offender off the hook before as you have said he was in jail before. the whole 3 strikes your out type of thought doesnt sound too great whenever you are one of the 3 strikes...point is, the offender is still a rotten egg but he is also a person. the police aren't doing anything to help HIM either

the police in peel are useless. my friend got mugged and knew the guy who did and the cops didnt do anything when he called them

cops are essentially the SS in the US...along with the DEA and ATF...any law enforcement agency can be compared quite nicely to the brown jackets of Nazi Germany

Yes he did. He did what my friend wanted him to do. My friend has said it many times. "He caught the creep who did that to me, now it's over".

If my friend thinks he did something then the cop did something.

And the guy who did it is a person, but he beat a 13 year old within an inch of his life. And I don't even know what he did before to go to jail, but they were assault charges so this guy probably did something like this before.

My friend is happier now, that's all that really matters.

what im saying is that you need to look at the other victims. how they feel.

im sure they were relieved when he was locked up the first times, and he was LET GO and he had a repeat offense...sounds real successful for them to have done that.

they NEEDED to lock up the guy, regardless of what your friend wanted. if you friend wanted to talk to the offender and have him let go, they wouldn't have listened and still jailed him up. if yoour friend wanted him dead, he'd still be alive behind bars.

if they DIDNT find this dude again, itd be a "stain" on their reputation and they would just look bad. again - cops are like the little douchefuck, bitchboys that sucked up to your elementary school teachers

Okay well the OP is younger than me, he's been through less shit than me with your logic.

I've been fucked over by cops many times, but that's because I was doing something illegal.

If I smoke out of a huge bong in front of a cop what should I expect to happen? It's illegal, the cop doesn't make the laws.
