The age of majority is 18 and all, and I'm not arguing for a change of that, but we know fucking well that most 18 year olds have plenty of growing up to do. Whatever their intentions, they are brainwashed to kill. I mean, literally.... I know an ex-marine, and he says that even that word is everywhere, they would chant "kill" before eating, for instance. It was all about killing.

The fact is, that by the same token that you can improve people, you can also change them in negative ways, especially if you start at 18. Nature vs. nutrure... nature don't stand a chance.

You can say "killing is bad", but until they grow into the emotion (which some never do) it's just a rule, and rules are made to be broken..... so what happens when you change the rules to allow killing? They sign up and kill.

I don't support the war but I do support my friend who's devoted his life to it. He's a good person and knows my stance but I have known him my whole life and respect him. Also it is that I don't agree with the war and I don't want my friends to die...I love my friends. I think they are brave to go to war. They are educated people who do make good life choices.

But I also know that there's a lot of things about these wars I don't understand. Mostly because by the time information gets here its convoluted most likely. I don't like my friends being used as pawns in someone's game.

I have a cousin though that wanted to get into the military for free education to be a nurse...I dunno that seems a bit like mooching to me? She's not going for the fact of any cause but her own needs it seems. Most people I know are really interested in protecting our country. She seems like she knows nothing about war and just wants a handout. What do you think about that?

greed and pride makes world valley of tears

Ce qui fait et fera toujours de ce monde une vallée de larmes, c'est l'insatiable cupidité et l'indomptable orgueil des hommes.

I suppose your not a transgendered person..

VA hospital left me with a toothache for 6months. when I went there : their student idiots pulled the wrong tooth. Cost me 400.oo out of pocket money at a private dentist. I wouldnt go there for a paper cut./

the smell alone of their institutionalized hospital makes me sick to my stomach. I want to be as far away from it as possible. Thankfully they built the prison 16miles from my location.

You think they give a duck about you?.. they drop million dollar bombs on children's homes in other countries. You're cannon fodder on the front lines and the home front.

If they were so good at providing benefits, aftercare assistance. They wouldnt need to spend millions on advertizing, to convince those brainwashed americans that they and are doing something for the veterans and their families.

some of the stuff you say seems partially true. although they are currently fighting a war, because it isn't on our home turf, it seems far away for lots of people.

but there are quite a few people who join the military, for the many benefits. its kind of a good thing. they teach self-discipline and self-protection. welfare queens is a stretch, i think, they don't just sit around and eat flamin' hots all day.
