Actively fighting against dreadlock and weed smoking stereotypes by driving fast and purchasing guns is just another form of conforming Ok ok I'm sure he doesn't partake in those things JUST to fight the stereotype though It is just how it can be interpreted in that sentence. Anyway, it is better to ignore such stereotypes instead of changing your behaviour in any way because of it.

I don't agree with the liberals on this forum, but I also am at odds with the more conservative thinking people who are still caught up in a false paradigm, and think guns are the route to salvation. I don't believe they are, but it's clear gun control is about disarming the public for what amounts to basically a complete government takeover. The push is on big time to restrict people's access to guns (and, where I live, ammo as well), and it has NOTHING to do with the safety of the public. It has to do with the safety of the ones in charge once shit really hits the fan. And it will soon enough.

People need to stop taking sides. And I am not referring to just Democrat vs. Republican. People need to stop taking sides on all the hot button issues that are put out there to deliberately create polarity as well.

 

What I meant in my stupor of mixed chemicals is I don't really care if the gov't is shutdown or not. Apart from the shred of compassion I feel for the people with cake jobs who suddenly have to worry about bills, it doesn't affect me in the least. My business is blowing up by the day. People's cars break constantly and they need them. No more corporate bonus checks to simply go trade it in on a new one. I treat them right, even put them in rental cars at our expense if it's a big job. Word of mouth is the new marketing scheme as economies are being forced to localize. I quite like it.

This has been going on for awhile now, but it's even more magnified since the shutdown.

 

Please remember ALL of these folks are getting back pay ; just as before with the 18 previous shut downs. Let's keep this in perspective , just another check and balance. If barry chooses to take handles off water fountains at national parks ; well ,what the hell.
