"a drug is just a chemical. people who use drugs to act like assholes are the problem"

    thus spake zappa.

there is a whole lot of 'forbidden fruit' attraction, and a relatively SMALL number of idiots who would still give a dam if it wasn't.

the dangers, not to dismiss them out of hand, may be real enough, but banning the mere possession of anything, is the fist step on the road to tyranny, which is by far an even greater one.

i don't advocate anyone failing to use good sense. about anything.

(nothing wrong with banning SALE, mass production or mass importation of anything, deemed by a majority as undesirable. it's just banning possession, of anything, that is self defeating, actually creates markets, and more then anything else, opportunities for political abuse.)

Hill billy, you wouldnt believe the amount of pill use Ive been around in my time. A lot of people in my generation are afraid to smoke weed, but they'll snort speed and oxycontin all day with no worries.

And the feds are going to "act" concerned andsay they are going to crack down, but no doctors are being questioned, theres still millions of scripts. Its a huge industry thats legitimzed under a medical front. I don't think they should crack down, I think all drugs should be legal, but trust me the pharmaceutical lobby is too powerful to allow the govt to start regulating them further.

What we need to do is get weed legalized and people understanding its not toxic, then the pill abuse will cut down dramatically.

And indian~summer, my cousin went to jail for that. She had to go to a p-farm, and be a fucking farmer in the florida heat. Be careful

Banning anything produces unwanted effects above and beyond the effects of what you are attempting to ban.

Its an old and ineffective mentality that humans really need to get past. We need to promote truth, knowledge, understanding, compassion, and tolerance, rather than intolerance for "druggies" and other fucked up shit, and I can guarantee humanity would be much better off.

But I don't see what the big deal is if it were. Not that I would blast it, but people act like that shit is plutonium or something.

Actually I think it would take most longer to die from low levels or rad. vs meth use, just look at japan after we bombed.

I have first hand seen what meth does to people and the people and familys that care about them.

I can also say without any second thought that I have put several meth dealers out of business, not with the law but my own info, pictures and gun.

If you goto a meth dealer with enough proof and facts, pictures and a gun its semi easy to explain to them, even a methhead that they have been watched, pictures, info collected, and have 7days to get the fuck on and it works.

Another easy way is, most dealers have familys who do not know they deal, so a random phone call to the wife explaing that there spouse is selling meth to school kids and they have one week to get it right or the shit will hit the fan works too.

I did this almost 2 years ago to get my g/f clean, took her out of her own home and town for 8 months, alot of dr money later shes still clean.

So go play with meth if you wish but it is people like me, users and dealers need to worry about, not the task force.

I was lucky enough, all but one listened, one in atlanta, didnt but I did warn him, and so as I was sitting with his wife explaining his evil ways when I called him while he was at a braves game to ask how he was doing with his mistress, and myself and his wife were enjoying a soda while I explained how many ways she could fuck him in the soon to come divorce.

    Im a very driven person.....

i guess what i mean to say is i find it hypocritical of the government to punish other recreational drug users while largely overlooking something that pretty much runs rampant in society and is in many cases far more destructive.

peacekeeper, I dont fuck with meth or have ANY interest in it, but I do believe in this little concept called *gasp* -- personal responsibility.

And I've also been around plenty of tweakers and people with guns, I'm not shook by that. I have plenty of street skills. But I actually AM scared of magistrates and cages.
