Yeah it seemed like a bug when a giant slams something with his club. I was terribly intrigued by the giants when I first started playing Skyrim. After I saw the first one (getting killed when you approach Whiterun for the first time) I soon saw that location of a giant's camp on the map and was eager to explore/loot it Can't say how many times I got smashed to pulp there first time playing this game
They have done it but it's still in Alpha stage I believe http://morroblivion.com/forums/skyrim/skywind-mod-releases/3323
Ok, I have now got 26 mods installed, and I will say I definitely do like it much more. Skyrim "vanilla"; with mods; without; with; unfortunately I can't post the pics at the resolution that I'm running, 1650x1080, so they lose a bit of detail. Besides the graphics I have also installed mods for the climates, sounds, and game play elements (to make it harder). The climate and sound mods alone bring it to a whole new level of immersion. p.s. It took me almost a day searching to find this spot again for comparison screenshots
Ha, the tree over the waterfall is one of the spots I never forgot after the first time! Nice forest and mountain region and of course a great view at Windhelm etc. I also never forget that troll near there just before Ivarstead; I always meet him early in the game when you have to go to the greybeards and the character is still relatively weak
I disagree, I get a terribly sense of misdirection while cruising through the air. Beside that, I'm usually dead before landing
This has happened a silly amount to me.. I rolled a khajiit thief/assassin and have started hacking these guys to bits by dual wielding daggers, and the learning curve was rather harsh. Must say, I have a love hate relationship with Skyrim.. it's fuckin' gorgeous, and I love the landscapes and the story, but there are waaaay too many bugs. The Nightingale quest for example.. I was SO immersed into that questline, just about to speak to Nocturnal, and it bugged and fucked it all up. I was most disappointed And... why the FUCK did they get rid of athletics??
I remember that from Morrowind :biggrin: When seeing characters jumping around as much as possible I also remember people in WoW doing that when I watched a friend playing that game and it made me think I don't ever want to play massive online rpg's if all the other people ruin the gameworld by behaving obnoxiously unrealistic
I loved jumping crazy high I love MMORPGs, I'm contemplating trying out TES Online... I'm just weighing up whether I want to get laid or not. The PvP looks fuckin' awesome though. It could also be a total fuckup like LotRO though, which would be disappointing..
I liked the magic potions that made you float (in morrowind). In regards to settings I would be interested in the Star wars MMORPG as well but I'm not really. I guess I just want to be drawn in the setting as well as possible, not eager to game with other people where it comes to fantasy rpg.
yeah, but They removed tracking all those minor skills and revamped the interface in order to accommodate consoles.
Fuck consoles. Bring the Morrowind mechanics into Skyrim.. or whatever the next one they make. And never make anything as dull and boring as Oblivion again, please. Thanks Bethesda, love you guys.
I played Morrowind on both pc and the first xbox. As I recall it the mechanics were the same and worked pretty much just as well on the console.
Mechanics are more or less the same, but I dunno... there was just something about Morrowind that made the levelling experience just.. more enjoyable. And more armour slots and shit, and a greater flexibility with the character role. Maybe nostalgia, I might reinstall it and see if I'm just talking shit
Oh yeah, I (and pretty much every elder scrolls lover it seems) agree that the levelling system in Morrowind was better. More satisfying/feeling you really earned it.
OK, now that I have the Legendary Edition, have twiddled and fucked around with various mods that enhance graphics and game play for the last couple of weeks, took apart my video card, cleaned and replaced the thermal junk with Arctic Silver and removed the lame-assed shroud (dropped temps >20 degrees), I can now play a game that is much better and different than the original "vanilla" version and I am enjoying it much more. Started a new game and used a custom race to create my character, Zendalyn Rose; I do like PC's better than consoles for a good reason... more pics in my profile. sadly, the pics really don't do justice to just how fucking awesome the game looks. p.s., those are in-game shots with no editing or futzing around.
for comparison, this is how I had it before and thought it looked great; and almost the same view, but later in the day how it looks now;
