    Yeah, id be proud that my child was strong enough to try and make it on their own and still attend college. Hell thats exactly what id want (if they were ready, i dont think id kick my child out if i had one who was 18 though), my child to be strong independent and wanting to make a good future.

    well, over the summer, when i turned 18, they started to let me stay out later and they let me go away for a weekend with justin which was crazy cuz they never used to let me go anywhere with dudes if they weren't there. plus the fact that they're even letting me date justin just blows my mind because he's 21 and i'm 18 and they're usually psycho, like i would really expect them to be more like "i think he's a bad influence on you". i mean, they do let me do more stuff than i used to, but compared to what other kids my age get to do, i'm not really that lucky. they just freak out about the dumbest little things, like with each other and with me and my sisters.

    Agreed. I'd try to raise my kids to be good, and if they were to abide by my rules, I'd let them have a lot more freedom by the time they're 18. I want my kids to be independent, and do what they feel is right. As long as it's nothing bad, I wouldn't be against it. Hopefully my views don't change, because I would hope I wouldn't smother my kids, and let them grow freely while still keeping an eye on them to point them in the right direction.

    Good morning,

    ;)

    Well, at least they can't prohibit you to communicate. It's hard to argue about your parent's behaviour, because we don't now their reasons. Maybe they have cultural or religious reasons, that are usually very strong. Maybe they want just the best for you and stretch it a little bit far.

    Time runs fast. If you are allowed to see your boyfriend again you will be laughing about the past weeks ;);

    Regards
    Gyro

    well, i have a cell phone with justin, it's on his plan and he pays for it and everything, and my parents told him to take it away from me for this month. lol. they still let me talk to him online and on the phone though. i just think it's silly that they would take away the phone that he pays for, but i'm not gonna fight them about it because i don't want them to get even more mad and ground me longer or something. i think i'm working on talking them down to a couple weeks. i was supposed to go hunting with justin on the 14th and dad already said i can still do that. i'm just not sure if that means that day will be the end of my grounding or if i'll just get off for that one day. i already requested off work for it and i told dad that and he said if i can be good until then, i can go. :)
