gateway drug

first of all who does crack? cocaine shouldnt be in the same group as crack and heroin, a lot of my friends do it, but no one fucks with crack and heroin (the two are laughable).

well basically the point i want to get across is its really the person and their friends. i just smoke pot and i always have and i always will, but i have a whole group of friends i hang out with that do meth, coke, shrooms (i will try those someday tho it has nothing to do with being around it tho its cuz i want to they just havent been around!), acid, pills, cigs, and many more. i just smoke pot. they dont pressure me to do any of it. im known to just smoke pot and as long as i had the guts to just tell them that (not like it took GUTS but like i had to take a stand for myself to do what i felt was right for me) they didnt bother me to try any of it.

If you want more then you do more. It is a bunch of bull that MJ is a gateway drug. I have never in my 42 years have tried another drug other then MJ and Hash. Been smoking MJ for along while now. I have even turned down when friends have been treating with a No thanks I am a pot head reply. I know for me MJ helps, I have a problem with my mind racing MJ slow it down so I can think staight.

 

unfortunatly in my small school of only 510 students id say around 30-35 are addicted to crack.. probably around 100 mostly seniors and 11th graders have at least tried cocaine or are dayly users and i dont know anyone thats on heroin just people that do opium =P but i know one thing for sure none of those people that do those drugs were strait edge before they started, they all started slowly with mj and alchohol and worked there way up the drug list. its a gateway drug because its basically harmless, very easy to get.. much easier to get then alchohol around here and it introduces you to the world of drugs which some people get fascinated by and want to try more. I my self have tried coke once a tiny line and il probably never do it again it didnt even feel all that great, i prefer my good old weed any day over coke.

and please learn from my experience, meth is not a toy- and not to be played with, stick to herbs, it is actually medicine, use it medicinally (like homegirl does) and you will be just fine. If it calms you down and you feel you need to chill- What is so bad about that?

actually i hadnt thought of it like that. i guess all drugs are 'gateway' drugs, its jsut marijuana is the easiest to comeby and start on, so its the most common 'gateway'. though there are exceptions, -most- people fall into teh category of willing to do drugs, or not willing, and those that are willing -generally- try other drugs, and unfortunately that leads to addictions and other things.

but yeah, id say now that all drugs are gateway drugs, caus most people have to try one drug before they try another, it jsut happens that marijuana is the msot common drug and so it is generalised as -the- gateway drug.

oh and i dunno about your lingo, LL, but crack IS cocaine

I did cocaine before weed. Weed's not the only drug that lets people into the drug culture. You can try whatever you feel like first, and trying weed first doesn't mean you're going to move on to harder stuff.

 

Seriously, meth is awful shit. It's one drug that I don't mind at all being illegal (being pretty skeptical of most prohibition laws), it's substantially toxic. I haven't done it, but I've known a few who have, and none of their testimonies are flattering.

One person is a guy I know from college, a redneck from the hardcore backwoods South who also happens to be very bright, as well as a chronic drug user like everyone else and his dog from his home region. This was his recollection of the meth experience - "Ah remember when Ah tried meth... ya feel like therr was bugs a' crawlin' undaneath yer skee-yin..."

 

my ex (still good friend) was a tweaker. i never tried it tho. never will. pot is all im going to do and all i want to. ive seen these tweakers and its disgusting.

 

i wont bother going to erowid atm, but crack as it is generally know, its the smokable form of cokaine, and is probably only mor eaddicitve because of the way u take it.

 

crack hits waaay harder than coke cuz you smoke it and hold the vapors in your lungs... and i think the whole smoking it thing makes it addicting too..

 

i can't believe a crack smoking discussion is even going on. no one should EVER smoke crack. ick.

 

i have a couple of friends (one of them being my roommate) who tweak once every couple of weeks. im not really up on this, but i assume it's meth they're doing. they either snort it or put it on foil, heat it up, and inhale the smoke/fumes. then they stay up all night doing nothing. hmm doesn't seem very fun to me. ill stick with mj and the occasional psycadelic.

 

I have also done DXM after smoking. It's the only other drug I have used.

 

yea ive stayed up all nite with a group of tweakers and it wasnt bad staying up all nite when ur just stoned but it wasnt appealing to me AT ALL to take a hit of meth. theyre all SOOOOOO skinny and never eat and are fucking disgusting. dont ever do it guys its just not cool
