Actually, i came into this thread to post a goodbye to George Carlin. i stated that i was a Christian, and was sorry he wouldn't be in Heaven, like a lot of my growing-up heroes. It truly wasn't meant to be an affront to anyone ~ just a statement about how sad i am at his passing from this world, and the fact that he won't be where i'm going after i die. Everyone is so ginky about mentioning their faith, Christian or otherwise, but i know that some of the folks that are here probably feel the same way i do ~ if he died an atheist, he won't be going to the same place as anyone who believes in God (or whatever your religion calls Him). If my sadness is negativity, (and it sort of has to be, being Down/Bummed Out about his death) i'm sorry, but i honestly thought that was what this thread was for ~ to say a last Goodbye, and mourn our loss.
Eternity would be really long if you're surrounded by the fanatical followers of the god of the western desert.
