lol, but aren't Chch rivers like the water of leith? in that they are beautiful, but polluted and smogaged so they are like a sewer?
most have been cleaned up now like the Kaiapoi one its from the factory days when about every river was booming with trade and work and factorys alongside all the waste got dumped in the rivers, the avon they will never clean up too many ducks lol
