HELP! I am thinking of a female song from the early 1990's....anywhere from 1990-1995 i think. It was a top 40 pop hit for the year...i think a one hit wonder, but maybe I am wrong...I remember one line of the song having something to do with church bells ringing....and i am going crazy here with just that info going on top billboards songs for every year and listening to a little of this or that...found a lot of other good songs, but can't find this one. Does anyone know what I am talking about. I can hear the melody of the song for the last two hours here....and it is enough to make anyone go mad...not knowing what song they really love and not knwoing what it is. Any ideas? I will keep trying to figure it out. DAMN!
Beyonce did a cover of Etta James' All I Could Do Was Cry, but that was in 2008, according to a link I found in a Google search. Another link said that Etta James rerecorded it in the early 90s(I think). Anyway, the song has "Church bells" in the lyrics.
the church bells was just one line in the song. i think this song was sung by a white female.....It was kind of sad and a moody beautiful piece...... Thanks, expanse...i may have to dig out all of cassettes i used to make from the radio to try to see if I ever put it on a tape.....this is maddening.....
Yay! of course...Here is the song. I wish I could go back to the time of my life when this was on the radio alot.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXWD1HjWI8M
