Yeah, Marx argues that there will be a stateless, governmentless, comunally-owned-capital state post socialist revolution. But he barely describes it, and certainly not how to achieve it. It's tacked on like an afterthought - and isn't really the focus of any of his writings. Of course, I'd argue that you can be a communist without being a Marxist. Which is what I'd call china. Except, you know, "pseuod."
Ah...more brain diarrhea from spooner who "probably hates you" ... Did someone say "don't be such a child?". Whatever you say, Splooger...
well sure, and you can be a mormon instead of a baptist, but i don't think the differences amount to much.
I could argue that you can be a spooner without being an asshole, but I don't think the differences amount to much. Oh and spoonie, standing against bigotry doesn't embarrass me at all.
and it's failed repeatedly as well. the only thing that works for people is a system that recognizes the free market. totally free. no more collectivism, no more corporatism. power to the people shit is what its about. laissez-faire baby!
The problem with a free market is that it doesn't stay free. You wind up with oligopolies and monopolies, which don't benefit anybody in the long run. Along with assorted other problems.
Please do not confuse earnest critique with hate and insults. There are plenty to discuss in Chinese state policy without mud slinging. Critique of Goverment policy does not imply racism or antipithy toward individual Chineese people. One of the conceits of the Bijing Goverment is to assume that they speak for Chineese People accross the globe in Malaysia, The US, Canada, Indonesia, Taiwan. Sorry these overseas Chinese can speak for themselves. Are you playing Offense or Defense here? :troll:
Ahh, we've pretty much taken over this thread already, so I might as well elaborate on why I have no respect for you. You embody what I find to be the biggest flaw a person can have: you don't think for yourself. I know you think you do, to the point that you have to quote it in your signature; it might as well be satire, considering you cite it directly under a picture of you pretending to be somebody else (Hunter S. Thompson). You say things like this Highly illustrated by the change in your gallery - the shift from dark, vampire, gothic guy to peace, love, hippy guy. Acting like a stereotype, to the point where you have to dress like it isn't thinking for yourself. It's following the crowd. Even this wouldn't bother me so much if you didn't chastize others for not being as anti-authoritarian as you. I don't really give a shit what you think though, or how badly you try to harass me. Its petty. But you seem to complain an awful lot about people treating you like a pariah. If you care that much, maybe you shouldn't act like the 400 pound man telling others to quit smoking. *to the OP; as self-pitying as I find your topic, I'll apologize for taking it over like this. Even want-to-be-the-victim mentality rote arguments are more interesting and more useful then this debate.
exactly, you wind up with a de facto State. it's frustrating. details anyhow. i still think it would be a marked improvement on what is and a much better society than what the collectivists have shown. everything history has shown me seems to say that self-ownership, private property rights and decentralization of power lead to the most freedom and freedom generally leads to prosperity. i wish i hand taken time to read up more on Tucker. i'd love to get my hands on a working model of a true individualistic society. free trade, free thought, free speech, no state. if only we could keep it that way. but again details. and the State is the biggest monopoly already, can't get much bigger or badder than what is. seasteading anyone or shall we move to new hampshire?
anyway, back to hating china: does anyone know if that guy ended getting run over by that line of tanks or did they just shoot him later?
So,.......If people from North Korea are fleeing that opressive country crossing the Yaulo River into Manchuria, seeking refuge in China, why is it that China sends them back? Back to certain detention in a camp. Back to excessive punishment? Why not give the refugees some asylum? Make yourselves look good? Send em to South Korea. Why is Chineese State policy carrying water for North Korea? Where is the real hatred here ? Is this really "funny"?
