It's not even a law. This judge is so biased. He even told her that she should be arrested for getting pregnant so many times. The guy's a nut case.

While I don't think it's right for the judge to make completely unfounded comments like that, it's also not right for her to have even 2 children she can't afford, not to mention 16. There are too many women on welfare who can't afford the children they have and still have more. :(

Even with 7 kids, I sometimes get their names mixed up...I started calling them hon, sweetie, dear or babe that way I'm always right.
When I try to call out their names I'll get my 5 yr old grand-daughter(Brianna) confused with my 8 yr old daughter (Sabrina) even tried calling them big bri & little bri.....I know, I'm baaaaad

Okay, im the oldest out of seven boys, the only girl. My mom and dad didn't have any kids but me. On my dad's side, my great-grandmother has 13 great-grand childeren, she always calls me either all of my cousins names or my brothers names before she gets to mine. Or she'll say "your mom" meaning my grandma. And shes only 75-77 somewhere in there. And she's the best great-grandmother anyone could ask for. Now she has my son to get mixed up in the names, oh, wait you actually have to remember the name before saying it.
Everyone thinks Skye is different and don't know why we named him that.

I am one of 10 brother's and sisters. But we aren't all blood related, my parent's remarried when I was young.

I wonder what the reaction of some feminists is to this. From what I understand, the family is patriarchial, with the husband completely in charge, and the wife doing everything he says and being constantly "barefoot and pregnant". Personally, I think it is a beautiful thing. At least she has the guts to embrace being a wife and a mother in this day and age. I do agree though that they also need to adopt a few.

As long as he not forcing her to anything against her will, and if it is her choice-more power to her. I would LOVE to be able to be at home with my kiddos all day-just not that many!

Yep, and "training tips" for babies:

Child Training Tip-With 6 little boys age 5 and under we’ve enjoyed much more peace, harmony, & order in our home since a friend shared with us about ‘blanket time’. We began this training four years ago, when our second set of twins were 17 months old. They started learning self-control & obedience by sitting quietly on a blanket playing with a few toys. The key words are ‘sit’ & ‘quiet’! At first, we practiced 5 minutes, 2-3 times a day, & worked up to 10-20 minutes at a time. This one tip has changed the atmosphere of our home tremendously. We don’t have little ones tearing up the house as often & getting into things while we are busy. Occasionally, we still have those moments, but over all the little ones are content. This frees us to be able to accomplish more in our day! We have since, transferred this training to other areas, such as sitting during worship services, shopping trips & when visiting with company…etc. It’s teaching them responsibility (knowing & doing what both God & others are expecting of them) at an early age.

Those people are just fucked up fanatic Christians. I don't have a problem with Christians, I don't have a problem with big families, but this is sick! I have read about this "blanket time" thing before and it was also mentioned that the babies and toddlers are actually hit with a stick or summat when they don't sit completely still! They didn't say that on their site, but well.....they wouldn't, would they. A baby is supposed to explore his surroundings, not to sit still out of fear of being hit or shouted at. Grrrrrrrr! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I personally hated how the girls did the cooking..."GET THEE TO THE KITCHEN, WENCH!"

It's very much a fanatical Christian attitude.

I watched the show on the Discovery channel, I couldn't help but feel like they were a small cult. No Tv, no radio, no anything, and all the girls had on long old time dresses down to their ankles. Not to mention the fact that they all have names that start with a J. I wouldn't even be able to think of 16 names that start with the letter J that I liked. I too wonder how in the world they can afford that many kids. I wouldn't want to go through labor that many times either, but I guess after 16, they just kind of fall out! If they have enough money to afford 16 kids, they really should try to adopt.

Yeah, the name thing really bugs me, I mean, come on your children all have their own identity, they don't need to have matching names! Twins called Jeremiah and Jedediah? WTF? I bet they're always wearing the same clothes too.

yep, they all wear the same "uniform" every day. Apparently, it makes laundry easier, and unifies them in their homeschooling.
