if you ask me that in person, i'll be glad to punch you in the face then you can tell me what exists - my fist? your face? - and what does not i find that direct experience always trumps philosophical musing . . .
I can report that my expectations have nothing to do with whether you take me seriously or not, so I think Ken Barlow would be a moot point.
No-one's ever really going to know. Everyone has different opinions on whether he actually exists or not, but no-one knows and will ever know who is right/wrong.
This is very similar to scratcho's experiential axiom. His includes a two by four I believe. I find direct experience can be equal to philosophical musings if we can manage to access our experience directly, that is free from the influence of forgone conclusions. So much of the time we see only the past.
People make conclusions because the BELIEVE THEY KNOW something about god, not because they believe god is incomprehensible. Thats the being thing, those of us who realize that something as abstract as god or whats beyond death probably is not going to be imaginable by our minds. It is more then likely though that there is nothing after death and that there is no god or supernatural force. Or at least there does not seem to be any evidence of the contrary.
If battyman is synonymous with funny man then yes. Otherwise, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOKK8mAkiUI"]
