The Bible tells us that no murder will enter heaven, saying u accept Christ and meaning it are two different things. Thankfully, God knows the difference.

The Pharisees weren't wrong for following the Law up to the point of Christ. They were wrong in that they were blinded to the fact that Christ was the fulfillment of the law--the New Covenant which they refused to follow. (Even though it was plastered throughout the OT text on how the New Covenant would come).

Therefore, Christians are not wrong because they research and strive to follow God's word. They would be wrong, in God's eyes, if they passed the Bible off as ancient history that is no longer relevant to today's world... which seems to be most people's thinking on the forums.

If God (christian deity) is not omniscient, he is not all-knowing, correct? But if he is omniscient then he already knew when he created me and gave me a discerning brain that I would doubt him. So he created me knowing full-well I would doubt him and that it was a forgone conclusion from the get-go he would send me to burn in hell for eternity.

    Thanks, God! :$

(of course this all depends on whether one even believes in God or not... )

Lets look at the God of the Bible...

"God" doesnt just let people go to hell ... he designed it with all who sin in mind....

Think of this: he created mankind with the ability to fall. Well IF he is all-knowing and wonderful, then he so easily could have created a perfect people with no knowledge of -and unable to- sin....

People love to point it to the devil "oh, Satan is the cause of sin" ... yet, who created the angels with the ability to fall? God. If all is his creation then why even have an angel with an ego? ... Lucifer supposedly thought himself better and caused many to fall .......... well... if God was over the angels then why did he not have only perfect angels to worship him, to start?

The answer is simple, he wanted to play a game. We are the pieces.

God "needs" to be the saviour .... God needs to be the provider... God needs us to believe in Him.... God needs us to love him ... it appears that God needs us to validate his existance........

If you really look at it, it sounds like "God" has some self-esteem issues........

Oh and lets not forget how there was a few times when he "thought to do evil to his people" and actually had to apologize for it!! (yeah everyone loves to overlook those scriptures)

God is jealous, God gets vengeance.....

    need I go on?

After while you begin to see that this God we are trusting, is so ... imperfect.

Which is why after a lifetime of trying to live a Christian life and following the teachings of the Bible, I decided its all just a bunch of shit. And I regret the wasted time.

Well God knows your choices in life. Still they are YOUR choices. Don't blame God because He is all knowing, and you choose to be evil.

Again, you claim God is all-knowing. If this is true, he is not restricted to waiting around for me to follow ten rules (half of which are jewish propaganda) to decide whether or not I should go to hell. He knew how everything would turn out even before creating souls with expressed intent to torture some of them in the end.

    How benevolent.

It is belief in Jesus Christ and accepting Him as your saviour that will give you life eternal. Rules are part of the Christian walk, but a relationship with Christ is of the most importance. God plays everything out to the end. Heaven or Hell is your choice alone. Choose wisely.

That message was recorded in the Bible about 2,000 years ago. It was true then, and is true now. We are all bad, until we ask Christ wash are sins away.

    Relationship = Salvation

Since that is the case... why is it God's fault if someone does not want to have a relationship with Him? What?... you do not want to be my friend?... and it's my fault?? hmmm...

Keep in mind God's original intent for the world and the human race.... He wanted to have sincere love and people to make that choice to be with Him. He could have created us to automatically love him (as you seem to have suggested) but that love would not be sincere then.

ah yes, how easy it is! to love the one who has condemned us to hell if we DONT love him ......

Why would anyone want to live for a god who has issues like that?[IMG]

God has provided a way of escape. If you are foolish enought to send yourself to hell by rejecting the one who gave u life, then I guess that will be your problem. There will be many with your mind set, and you will have all eternity to curse God.

    ...

I dont believe in any of that anymore... thankfully I opened my eyes early in my twenties, so at least I wont waste all my life trying to abide by a book of falsehood... but hey ... we can both believe what we like ... :) Thats all it is, really .... whatever is real to US.

What it all comes down to is that you can't force love with threats. The idea that God gives us the choice of loving him or being condemned to hell is like me dragging a hypothetical long-lost daughter to the edge of a volcano, and telling her that she will either love me or I will throw her into the hot lava. Yes, she may turn around and lie to me in order to save her life, but what does that mean? Love, especially spiritual love, is the ultimate positive emotion and has to originate with positive attraction.

JDFU and Campbell, you guys have stayed on-message...you go on the offensive and bluster about prophecies and the inerrancy of your chosen version of the Bible whenever anyone intelligently challenges the reasoning behind the theology that you promote as Christianity.

Where's the Kingdom of God within you, that's not of this world...the kingdom that Jesus spoke of ? You don't have a clue, because you're too busy counting the days till Armageddon.

Yes we do count the days because the fuse can be clearly seen burning. We are only trying to point this out to you by the facts. If facts are not important to you, then you will suffer by ignoring them. The fact is, you are turning away from the real clues that would lead you to the truth of Gods plan and His message of Salvation. By ignoring the facts you believe salvation is for all who imbrace gray areas of Spiritual understanding. Even when those gray areas oppose the truth of the Biblical God. And even when men of the past have agreed with the prophecies that we proclaim and in a time know one could of understood the future, you ignore them as well. Jesus said blessed are they that read the prophecies and understand them, and that is where the Kingdom of God is with in us. For we proclaim the truth of Gods Word. And we are in agreement with Christians ministers of the past who stated that same truth, and that truth has remained unchanged from the time they proclaimed it. And it has remained unchanged because it was given to us from the Word of God. The Word God said, the world would oppose.

Falsehoods? The prophecies of the Bible are not false, yet many in the church ignore them, and that is way many outside of the church have never heard of them. For hundres of years ministers of the Gospels have been telling us before Christ returns the Jews would return to Israel and retake Jerusalem. They spoke the truth, and it was based on the Book of truth the Bible. Consider Ezekiel chapters 36, 37, 38, and 39 of the Old Testament. Read these chapters and then tell me about falsehoods.
