I'll say this as often and as loudly as possible: The 9-11 attacks have no more to do with Islam than bombing a gynecologist's office (because he preforms abortions) has to do with Christianity.

    And the Village Voice says

Isn't the idea that the 9-11 attacks had something to do with Islam feasible though? I mean, considering the time frame and location, it was probably Christians who bombed the house of Martin Luther king too.

Just one question, should the victims and families of Eric Rudolph have to endure seeing a Christian church near the sites of his bombs, or watch a Boy Scout Troop meet for Christian fellowship, and shouldn't a YMCA nearby send them into a rage? He called himself a soldier for the Army of God, so, what's the difference?

They shouldn't have to endure it, no. But should they really care where someone puts a place of worship?

The idea that they should be forced to endure it is a product of capitalisms rigid design. One of the few products i actually do agree with.

I understand that the locations proximity to ground zero could insinuate victory for an Islamic denomination, but thats beside the point. Stories of the presidents religion, and a mosques location don't concern me.

The only real victory for Islam here is making this a topic of interest.

I couldnt really exact what you are asking me, so i hope i answered your question.

I may have misunderstood your point, and I was being factitious. Anyway here is an article that is a must read on this topic:

Folks are also protesting against a huge cross in the Mojave desert. The cross has been enclosed in a box structure while a court decides its appropriateness.

Protesting against organized religion is as American as apple pie.

Perhaps if the sources of funding for The Mosque were revealed it would answer some questions; remember, follow the money.

the big cross was stolen months ago and i guess is no longer an issue

as regards mosque funding, i hear that the 2nd-largest fox news shareholder has given the imam some hefty amount of $

Seriously it has nothing to with protesting religion, it has everything to do with xenophobia.

    i love this:

so, how do the christians show their tolerance, their freedom of religious expression?

ah, never mind, two wrongs do make a right, even if one of them is imaginary . . .
