The thread was supposed to be about a - I thought - funny selection of clips strung together to make a rude Ramsey. You really don't need to give a flying fuck about the clip or Ramsey. Is anybody asking you too?
the inordinate popularity of the rather ridiculous concept of celebrity would seem to be. it is THAT of which i am inclined to be more then a bit critical.

how ever is it not? though i am unclear as to the intent of "inanimate". mechanical objects move, often under their own power, and even the branches of trees sway in the wind.
Not alive, esp. not in the manner of animals and humans. No, not even Thomas the tank engine (and friends) Just a joke. Most people have a fascination with something. Some with celebrities others with inanimate objects. Personally I like sci-fi shows - so a bit of both.
Made a whole career out of bullying vunerable trainees live on TV. I'm not impressed with him. Seeing him stretchered off in that football seemed a little poetic, even if I should know better.
ah i see. being somewhat of a hermit by inclination and nature, i am sometimes unfamiliar with the contextual dependencies of contextual humor. i too am rather fond of speculative fiction, though less of the sort that more often finds its way into visual media, then the far more diverse and creative by ways of science explored in the literature. as for thomas, yes i consider the anthropomorphising of mechanical objects unhealthy. also insulting to the nature of reality and its spirit. precisely in the same way as i see trying make everything begin and end with symbolic value, and yes, even the concept of celebrity.
It's not 'live'. The first series, perhaps, people did not know what they were getting into. After the first series people knew exactly what they were getting into. He does not pull people off the street. These people apply to the show and want to be there. It's obvious a lot of it is for the cameras. It's obvious he mentors them in a serious manner when he isn't screaming at them Some give as much as they take.
