this is my boy Nyjah. and I just want to state that there is a large amount of misunderstood perceptions and ignorance about the APBT in this thread. I have a lot of experience with the breed and will be happy to explain some things to those that are curious

My boyfriend has a pitbull and I absolutely loathe it. It is the neediest dog in the entire world. You have to be two inches or less away from this thing at all times or it has a nervous breakdown.

I prefer a more independent dog. I'm not use to being around someone that needs attention nonstop and I don't really like it.

I think this is the most recent pic of Rampage I got. He's doing well, although I think he may be a little overprotective. A little more training and he'll be fine. Gonna start lifting weights with him also, work off some of that energy he has.

he looks good! a spring pole or weight pulling is a good way to wear them out, and give them a task to do at the same time. I make mine pull me on a skateboard everyday, he loves it

    "a little overprotective" lmao

get ready to shoot that dog in the head when one day a little kid comes up to you just to say hi and that maniac will jump on him

Dogs arent really suppose to be independent, they like to be around their partners all the time. "Man's best friend" thats why I dont like dogs. theyre clingy

if you want an independent animal, get a cat, but an outdoor cat, they are much cooler.

Yeah, I gotta say that the boyfriends pitbull really really hates kids and tries to attack them. So as a result we can't take her anywhere at all. And she got nothing but love and care her whole life so it wasn't because of a bad environment. She just naturally wants to destroy children and other animals.

I hate to say it, but its really the truth. Pit bulls are no good. They are monsters or will be one eventually. If i were you, I'd put her down immediately if she doesnt like kids bad enough where you cant take her out. Its better than a lawsuit.

my dog loves kids, and tries to lick them to death. a proper bred pit is one of the best dogs around children. in England they used to be called the nanny dog because of this trait. look it up. also the dog on the little rascals was a pit.

the ignorance of people amazes me.

well not many people know of this and I looked it up and its total bullshit. I seen tons of videos and had a maul attack towards one of my neighbors to say that "pitbulls are nice to kids" its very rare to see a nice pit bull

I just support to stop breeding them period.

well I support the idea of no longer allowing stupid people to breed. but that sure isn't gonna happen. so get used to seeing the american pit bull terrier for a long time. or just move to one of the places they are banned, so you can keep your children safe

it's not bullshit. google vintage pitbull, nanny dog, americas dog.. google stubby, the most decorated dog in US military history. look up the breed standard for temperment. most of the dogs in the media for attacks are mixed with guard dogs like mastiffs, and simply look like a pit bull. do you think reporters look at a dogs pedigree? no. they know "pit bull attack" gets attention and stirs controversy

you are an ignorant person who swallows every pill the media feeds you, and I'm done arguing with you. go educate yourself

I may be uneducated or whatever but I have seen enough that I will never own another one nor have my kids or myself anywhere near one. That's a third strike dog, in my opinion.

Yeah Im sure the media is feeding my brain when I see home videos and stories about many many pitbulls- just enough for me to not like them, say they are all evil in some way. Get your fuckin bullshit military act out of my face.

I already looked it up wise ass. "They dont have a lock hold when they bite" YES THEY DO, thats how they killed many kids, idiot. Yeah a "pit bull attack" will get attention because its a attack! on a person!

For being in a military, you're pretty naive. How bout if i show you some videos on these maniacs and what they do to people?

    get real guy

Yeah, I have seen plenty with my own eyes as well. This area is so ridiculously full of pitbulls because every hippy here thinks they are just the sweetest breed of dog ever and they just need love. But I have witnessed plenty of well-loved pitbulls snap and try to kill... much more so than other dogs.

Anyone who thinks that they aren't naturally just more aggressive are just deluding themselves.

I believe there are individual pitbulls that are nice, but as a breed they are more aggressive, especially towards kids and other dogs.

In my experience, pitbulls are among the most friendly and lovable dogs in the world. They're just really big lap dogs. lol

    Rampage looks awesome, btw.

Well, since she is my boyfriends dog I definitely can't do that. But he definitely regrets getting her and wishes he had gotten a different breed.

If you mean, loving to their owner then I 100% agree. But in my experience they are not loving to others which can create a dangerous situation.

I understand that, antit. Maybe he can put her up for adoption? But he has to tell them she doesnt like kids

My friends friends daughter was walking down the street and 3 pitbulls, just mauled her to death. and its not like the bulls didnt know her, they seen her every day...

That was more than enough for me.
