lets start with just cattle 1 cow eats 40 pounds of grain a day thats 40 billion pounds of grain
1 herd of say 500 cattle take thousands of acres of land to raise noyt to mention all the land used to raise the food for 1 cow

no jobs are lost if u convert those huge stretches of land to grow food for humans in fact jobs are creatted

1 human eats how many pounds of food a day? less then 40? less then 10? the math shouldnt be that hard to comprehend

i didnt ask that,, i asked for a plan to immediatley implement what you propose..

it would seem that you dont have one that would work in the real world either from your response. as you only vaguely addressed 1 issue,, and it ,, i could ask 3 or 4 questions of but it aint worth it..

oh well i was just wonderin how it could be so simple..

but i guess it really aint that simple after all..

good now i dont feel so stupid.. :)

yes stop artificialy inseminating cattle to raise herds convert all cattle ranchedss as well as feilds used to raise food for livestock to feilds to grow food we need the esxisting animals numbers can be drasticly reduced (ween ppl off meat allow the remaining animals to be eatten, but no more artificial increasing of numbers allow tyhe numbers to dwindle to a managable number to presserve the species (even though they are not natural species any more)
every availible bit of land thats been used in the meat production can be converted to growing food for humans

why the hell is that so hard to understand

ofcourse im just 1 person i cant convinvce every211 in every country its the right thing to do but it is its logical its what we need to do but there will be those who ressist it no matterhow bad things get

most likely if the efforts are cokmplete enough thered be a sufficient surpluds that a decent percentage can also be used to grow bio fuels

we are talking about hundreds of thousands perhaps millions of acres wasted that could grow how many tons of food?

ive beebn talking about this ove4r a year now..its not my responcibilirytyu to plant millions of acres single handedly all i can do is offer a wise solution its up to everyone to say no to the industry thats allowing the continued hunger and waste to go oin...

ive done my part 20 years ago...
im doing all i can now...i cant do it all all i can do is tell ya how it can be done

unfortunately your dealing with roughly 4 billion meat eaters world wide and a multi trillion dollar industry world wide.. its never going to happen fast enough to stop this crisis thats the reality of it.
your right, all you can do doesnt matter one bit because it will never happen in our lifetimes. to many people raise there own meat to eat globally, the goat herders in africa aint giving up there goats lol.. an i assure you its human nature if theres meat people will eat it,the world will never be a vegetarian society.besides,i mean, its just not feasible on a very short timeline with out total chaos insuing on a global scale. thats a fact.
    surely you realize that?

soon enough you wil get to see how americans act when theres no meat on the shelves, and what is there is to expensive to buy,,it aint going to be pretty..

you do know the ranchers are all voluntarily selling there stock off on a massive scale as we type because they no longer can afford to grow them out..

also,, in the mythical world we are talking about, should you somehow win your fight against monsanto and the global elite it would only be because they allowed it,and they would still force you to plant all those millions of acres in monsanto GM seeds..

yeah what a improvement for the global food chain.. yay..

I agree with Eagle. Meat is a lifestyle choice, and I'm probably more guilty than most on this forum because I've always been a big meat eater. Wouldn't even know how (and not sure if I'm even willing, to my shame) to begin kicking the meat.

We're such a meat culture. I can't imagine the sizemic shift that would have to happen politically for that culture to start changing. But the impact would be huge not only on hunger problems worldwide but pollution problems. Those animals we breed to eat create more toxic waste than any other industry. Think of what eliminating the meat industry would do for global warming and for world hunger.

BTW: I hope I don't eat 10 pounds of food a day! I'd like to think it's more like, maybe, two or three? But I'll admit my meat-eating ways are pretty irresponsible. I could easily afford to change.

real large odviosly most people dont eat 10 pounjds a day i said that for dramatic effect that being 1/4 if the food to keep 1 cow alive
1.3 billion cows would eat more then 4 billion people each day if we ate 10 pounds each

being that we probly eat 2 pounds a day maybe the population could tripple what it is today and still live off just the raw tonnage of food we pressently feed to cows

    food for thought

o.k. if anyone wants to get back to reality..
heres the reality of the global food situation, the contributing factors involved the long range outlook as well as the people who are actually in charge of the food chains plans in some depth.

very informative read. i highly recommend it..

teaser: "filling up an SUV with ethanol once means having used up enough maize to feed a man for a year." ;)
